"That's what going steady is, Stacy. Jeremy and I aren't really engage, but we're totally engaged to be engaged to be engaged. And by the way, that's on a need-to-know basis." She paused when Stacy said something through the phone. "Why would Jeremy need to know?"
The door to her bedroom opened and Linda walked in. "Hey, hon. I was just reading this article about mothers and daughters and really listening to your teen. And I realized, I've hardly seen you all summer. So, for the whole day today, it's just you and me. Whatever you want to do, I'm all yours. Anything at all."
Candace sat up in her bed. "Wait a minute. Anything? Stacy, I'll call you back." She hung up her cellphone.
Outside, Piper and the boys sat under the tree, eating popcorn as they stared at the ground.
"Hi, guys!" Isabella called out and walked over to them. "Whatcha doin'?"
Phineas shrugged. "Watching grass grow."
She giggled. "No really. Whatcha doin'?"
"Did you know that the secret to successful grass growth is establishing a regular fertilizer schedual?" Piper told her. "We can make you a copy."
"Um... I'm good."
"Hello! Greetings from the thing with two heads!" Baljeet announced. Buford had Baljeet stuffed into his shit so both their heads were coming out of the neck hole. "Nothing?" He let out a sad sigh when he got no reaction.
"I told you sight gags were cheap." Buford said.
Isabella gestured to the trio. "They're watching grass grow."
"What, with like a super growth formula or something?"
"Oh, that must be it." She turned back to the trio. "That's it, right?"
Phineas frowned. "Well, no. Grass is already so interesting, why bother?"
"Come on, mom! Let's set up!" Candace rushed out of the house with two folding chairs and placed them in the backyard so they can both sit and watch the kids. "I can't wait to see your face when they get going. Just watch."
Linda sat and stared at them for a moment. "You want me to bust them now?"
"Give it a few minutes."
Phineas pulled out a lint roller and rolled in on Ferb's clothes. He looked at the hair on it. "Platypus hair. Hmm. That reminds me. Where's Perry?"
Perry walked over and layed in the grass near them.
"Oh, there you are, Perry." All the kids said at once.
Phineas when back to using the lint roller on Ferb when Baljeet spoke up. "Um, can we up the action a bit here?"
"Okay. Ferb, Pip?"
Ferb and Piper pulled out there own lint rollers and the three of them started selling them on each other.
Buford looked at Baljeet. "If this keeps up, you're getting back in the shirt."
"How about now?" Linda asked.
"Hold on." Candace got up and jogged over to them. "What are you guys up to?"
Piper smiled up at her. "Just enjoying the wo derful world of lint."
"Come on. Who do you think you're fooling?"
She shrugged. "Nobody."
Candace blinked. "What the heck is wrong with them?"
"It's like they were hit with a dull and boring ray!" Buford said. Perry's eyes widened and he got up and speed walked out of there.
