Forever Flame (Fairy Tail Fanfiction)

-A new dragon slayer magic?!-

Lucy POV:

I walked by myself to the guild to be alone in my thoughts. Natsu had run ahead to meet up with Gray so they could fight as usual.

"Be careful and don't fall Lucy!" Voices called. A small boat of men waved at her. They always warned me to be careful when I was walking to the guild. They were so nice so I I waved and smiled at them.

Man it was cold out here. I shivered and held my cold arms. I was still freezing even though I was wearing a hoodie and leggings.

"Flame," I whispered. A tiny flame appeared in my hand and I instantly warmed up. Then I realized that I wasn't supposed to be able to summon fire. I quickly blew it away. What is wrong with me, I thought. I knew for a fact that I was a Celestial Dragons Slayer for sure but I wasn't sure why I could summon fire like Natsu.

 I quickly ran up to the guild and walked in to greet my guildmates. As always Gray and Natsu were having a fight. Before I knew it, a table flew at my face just like before I left. A wave of fury came into me and without thinking I randomly said a spell.

"Sound Dragon Roar!" I yelled. A purple sound wave came out of my mouth and flew towards Gray and Natsu. Gray was hit and was sent back against the wall. Natsu grinned as he shielded the attack with fire.

I widened my eyes and looked down at my hands which were warm with sizzling violet magic. Peculiar things were happening with my magic and I had no idea what was going on. First Celestial, the Fire, but now Sound? I wonder what else I can do, I asked myself.

"I don't know what happened but I'm all fired up!" Natsu yelled with surprise but also eagerness.

"Fire Dragon Roar!" A torrent of fire rushed towards me. I easily blocked it with a sound shield I casually summoned. I let out a giggle at my new powers, because after all I was finally strong enough to be in this guild.

"Water Dragon's Hurricane!" I sent a hurricane at him which he barely blocked. Natsu licked his lips and gazed at me confidently.

"Fire dragons claw!" I rolled away and put up my main celestial shield up and smirked at the salmon dragon boy who was my true best friend.

"Celestial Comet!" The light spell rushed at him too fast for him to block. Natsu was sent to the back wall but he quickly got up and shook his shoulders.

"No fair! Fire blast!" He sent a wave of fire at me. I gasped as the fire slowly burned into my hoodie. It sadly burned to ashes and fell to the ground, revealing a thin sleeveless top that sent shivers through me.

"Celestial reflection!" I yelled. A glowing wall sent the fire back at him. He grinned and swallowed the fire.

"I've got a fire in my belly now! Fire dragon punch!" He said. He ran up to me with super speed. I matched his speed and went up to him.

"Water dragon punch!" I yelled. Our punches met and we matched each others strength perfectly as the magic poured out of us. Finally, we were both sent back and we crashed into the walls behind us. The whole guild was silent with shock.

I rubbed my aching head and my burn marks, slightly mourning my poor hoodie. "Hey. Let me help you up," A tired voice said. I looked up at a bruised Natsu and accepted his hand with a smile. We walked up where we fought and analyzed the scene. Table pieces were scattered around the building and pieces of the floor were torn up. We equally winced at how the banner was partly torn. Terrified guild members looked at us.

Grey came up to us with a scowl. "Master wants to talk with both of you right now," He said with his arms crossed. I nodded and started walking up the stairs with Natsu behind me. I felt everyone's eyes on us.

"Master?" I quietly said as we approached his office. He waved us in and Natsu closed the door.

"I expect that you know why I called you here," He stated. We nodded and looked at him. "I am not mad. In fact I'm amazed. I already knew that Natsu had great powers and that he was one of the strongest dragon slayers. But then there's you Lucy Heartfilia. What I saw when I watched you and Natsu fight was amazing. You used more than one dragon slayer magic which has only ever been done once before. There is so much power in you. I've concluded that you are an Ancient Dragon Slayer."

"There was once a woman who had spectacular abilities. At first she was by herself with no guild until one found her. An ancient guild named the Allegiant accepted her in when she could no longer control herself. They trained her in ancient art,s and the dragon slayers there taught her spells and moves. Therefore she became the first ancient dragon slayer. A powerful group of people called Elemental Wrath were wanting to summon a man and woman from the Underworld itself. They would cause complete destruction but would remake the world. However, it needed a sacrifice for it to work. They kidnapped the woman and bound her in chains. When they were about to kill her, the whole Allegiant guild came and fought them. They were no match for Elemental Wrath. The guilds deaths was enough of a sacrifice and the man and woman were summoned. They had already destroyed the woman's guild so she became mad. Using all of her dragon slayer powers combined, she sacrificed herself and stopped the world's destruction. Elemental Wrath fleed the scene and the couple from the Underworld were layed to rest until they were summoned again."

"I fear that they might go after you, Lucy. Be on watch. We can not have that happen again. Natsu you must protect her at all costs for she is an ingredient in a dangerous plan. I highly doubt that they exist anymore but keep watch just in case but maybe you'll live a more peaceful life."
