"We heard a voice and are going to investigate. Over." A cop said in a radio
Goddammit. I silently swung out of there before the cops saw me. Now what do I do. No mentor No toxin. I gotta tell aunt may, she deserves to know. I can cry or shout or whatever later. I swung all the way to aunt may's house and rang the doorbell.
"Who is it so early in the morning." Aunt may said opening the door
"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. Peter asked me to go save a kid, so I went and by the time I got back he.... It should of been me." I said looking down
"Its not your fault. You did the right thing. If you saved him over the kid, he'd never be able to live it down. Thank you for telling me." Aunt may said hugging me
"But I could of saved both, if only I was faster." I said
"Don't think like that. It will only lead you down a dark road. One of the hardest parts of your job is that you can't save everyone. What happened to your suit?" Aunt may asked
"Toxin's gone as well." I said
"Oh you poor child. To have to go through all this at such a young age." Aunt may said rubbing my back
"But its a school night isn't it. You should go back to your dorm and rest." Aunt may said
"I will after I let MJ know." I said
"I'll do it. You've been through enough tonight. Go and take a break, leave the villain talk to tomorrow." Aunt may said
"Thank you Aunt may. Goodnight." I said before preparing to swing off
"Goodnight Enzo." She said
I wasn't going back to my dorm room. I needed some space to think and vent. So I went to the top of a skyscraper. I deactivated my suit, which put me back in my tattered champion sweater, thank god my Js were still in tact, that would of probably made me jump. I punched a wall repeatedly. After a couple punches my fist went through the wall and tears started streaming down my face. I put my back against the wall and slumped onto the ground and just stared at the sky. The sky was beautiful at least. After a while I my tears dried, but I didn't get up, this didn't seem like a bad spot to sleep.
As I was about to close my eyes my spidersense went off. I tilted my head down and saw a female spiderman. I begrudgingly got up.
"Did kingpin send you to finish me. I'd be lying if I said I wasn' t thinking about doing it myself, but I have a duty to fulfil so let's get this over with." I said equipping my symbiote suit
"Woah Woah calm down. What happened to you Enzo." The spiderman said removing her mask revealing Gwanda
"More like what didn't happen. So I take it your from another universe. Nice hair by the way, I told you my barber was good." I said deactivating my suit and trying to lighten the mood
"Thanks. And yup I'm from another universe. But your clearly not okay both physically and mentally, care to talk to me about it. I like the new suit" She asked
I sat on the edge of the building and signalled her to do the same
"The suit is a bit of a sore subject. Here's the rundown, so big bald guy builds super collider to go to other universe. Me and spiderman go to stop it. We get stopped by bad guys. I get fucked up by bad guys, bald guy turns on machine. Big green monster pushes my head into giant energy beam. Big explosion. Miles has goober, chased by bad guy, I go save miles. Go back to try and save spiderman, spiderman dead." I said in one breath
"Woah. I'm so sorry that happened to you. I had a friend I couldn't save, the police saw me and now I'm seen as the murderer as peter parker in my universe. Now I don't do friends anymore to save me from trouble. Guess its just a spiderman thing." She said
