"So, were about to take down an evil war lord," Natalie started looking at her fiancè.

Peter smiled.

"I know pretty cool right?" He asks as Natalie chuckled before walking over to him and wrapping her arms around his neck.

"Peter..... If anything happens to me-"

"Which it won't," he sternly says not wanting this conversation.

"Yeah but if anything does.... I want you to keep living for me okay? Don't give up just because I'm gone,"

"No it's not how this works Natalie.... You shouldn't be talking like that," Peter said removing her arms from his neck.

"Peter.... I need you to promise me,"

"No I'm not promising that I'm going to continue living if you die on me. What is life without you? Your asking me to suffer without you and I can't do that Natalie!"

"Peter," she said her eyes becoming glossy. "You have people to live for.... Don't throw yourself away because of me,"

"Baby, please stop talking like you know your about to die.... Your scaring the shit out of me just.... Let's just not have this conversation," Peter said placing his hands on her cheeks searching her eyes. "Please I love you and I....I can't lose you ever," he said a lone tear falling from his face.

Natalie sadly smiled as she nodded her head.

"Okay.... I'm sorry Pete for scaring you I just wanted you to know,"

"I know but I just I can't ever.... If you die I will die too not even death can keep us apart,"

"I love you Peter," Natalie said before bringing her lips on his.

The kiss was different than any other kiss her and Peter have shared. It seemed like it was a goodbye kiss more than the special kiss the two always shared.

"Don't do something stupid please promise me babe, that felt like you were leaving me type kiss,"  

She sighed before rolling her eyes.

"Peter that was a I might not kiss you again until this is over type kiss,"

This caused him to frown.

"Well let me get one more then huh?" He asked wiggling his eyebrows.

Natalie lightly laughed before placing her hands on his chest.

"How about after we kill Ronan I'll reward you with more than a kiss," she says smirking causing Peter to widen his smile with a new found motivation.

"Oh hell yeah! Let's kill Ronan ASAP!" Peter said as he grabbed Natalie's hand as she laughed at how much his mood has changed.

"Ronan's fleet has been spotted, and will arrive in t-minus fifteen minutes," a ravager navigator said as everyone was back at the front of the ship again.

"Remember, boy. At the end of all this, I get the stone. You cross me, we kill you all. You get my daughter killed I will kill you all," Yondu threatened as Peter rolled his eyes.

"You know it's the lack of faith you have in me protecting your daughter," he said but was ignored as Yondu's attention was only at his daughter who was standing next to Peter.

He grabbed her hand causing her to yelp in surprise as he pulled her into a hug.

"Dad," she smiled hugging him back tighter.

"Please be safe love bug, you know I love ya,"

"I love you too dad and I will. You be safe as well,"

"Always am, let's go boys!" Yondu said causing the Ravagers to cheer as they got off the Milano.

"Bye dad," Natalie softly said with a smile as a hand grabbed hers a minute later she looked to see it was Peter who was giving her a concerning look.

"Babe, really your acting suspicious first the promise if anything happens you'll live thing, then a goodbye kiss, and now the goodbye dad? What is going on?"

"Nothing Peter just drop it," she said turning to walk away from him.

"You promised me you wouldn't do anything stupid,"

"I'm not Peter! I'm just saying goodbye to family can I not do that?!"

"Okay your out of the mission," Peter suddenly says as Natalie's eyes widened with shock.

"What? Why?"

"Your acting like your fixing to die or something babe! I'm not risking it!"

"Peter im not doing anything suspicious I promise you!"

"Then why?! Why are you acting like this?!"

"BECAUSE I DONT KNOW IF IM COMING BACK OR NOT OKAY! NONE OF US DO! SO IM SAYING GOODBYE NOW JUST IN CASE ALRIGHT!" She shouted out tears running down her face.

Before Peter could say anything the others came out of the room.

"What's with the yelling?" Rocket was the first to ask looking between Peter and Natalie.

Natalie rubbed her eyes that was glossy with tears.

"Nothing just a disagreement,"

"A disagreement? Is that really what your calling this right now?" Peter asked getting angry.

"What is going on that made my lady cry?" Drax asked picking up Peter by the shirt who held his hands up in surrender.

"Woah! Woah! Woah! Hey Drax put me down! She thinks we're all gonna die if this plan doesn't work out so she's saying goodbye to everyone! It's ludicrous and even have the nerve to ask me to keep living if something happens to her!" Peter quickly explained just as Drax had put him down.

The guardians turned to face Natalie who was looking down in shame. Gamora sighed.

"Look Natalie we're not gonna know what's gonna happen but that doesn't mean you need to lose faith in us, we will win, and if we don't well at least we tried. Weather we live or we die at least we get to die amongst friends were all going together, don't lose hope because we got this," Gamora smiled before pulling Natalie into a hug who sniffed as she started crying into her shoulder.

One by one the guardians all came in for a group hug. It started with Gamora, then Rocket, then Drax, then Peter and last Groot.

"I am Groot," Groot said causing Natalie to smile.

"Your right, we are family Groot and we ride together and die together as one," she said with a smile as the team pulled away from each other.

"Let's go kick Ronan's ass and remember Natalie when this is over you promised the world's greatest sex ever,"

"Ewww,"

"Peter!"

"Dude," everyone said at once causing Natalie to laugh feeling better about the whole situation.

A/n: I think I'm gonna make 25 the last chapter it'll be pretty long though
