The anniversary

( back in illea) I walked down the empty hall, my heels clicking as I stood next to 3 other guards. They finally let me talk to Aspen. We turned the corner and faced a red metal door. " Are you sure you would like to do this? Your majesty" said I guard I wasent familler with. " positive" I said as the guard on my write opened the door. Behind the door was a dark hallway, filled with rows of metal cells. They ranged from how bad the crime was. " he's right here, miss" said the guard. His cell was all the way at the end. I looked in there and saw Aspen curled up on the floor with chains on his legs. Aspen looked up and saw me. He gave me a nod. " would you mind giving us some privacy" I said to one of the guards as he left the cell, downwards toward the door. " what the hell was that Aspen?" I said staring at him and pacing the cell. " you wouldn't understand" he replied look down at the floor. " oh I understand alright" I said, rage flowing through me. " how dare you have the guts to shoot the king of Illea". " he could have nearly died and the whole land would have been a disaster! " "I told you, you don't understand" he said. " Tell me then!!" I hollered in pure frustration. " She killed my family" he said on the brink of tears. " who did?" I said back " Anne. She always liked me , I rejected her though. She kept all of his rage inside of her, until she went awall" I covered my hand over my mouth. " she kidnapped Lucy and held her hostage.... She would kill Lucy too. " why wouldn't you tell the other guards, they could have handled it for you, for all of us" I said. " I had no choice, America" he responded. " No Aspen you did. You were a coward". As I headed to the door, I turned back " I thought you were different, Aspen, brave and courageous." I continued " but i seem to have been mistaken".
