The small baby's were in Lucy's arms as she rocked back and forth while cradling them, her hair was messed up,and the rings around her eyes were black. The maids always worked hard. Everyone in the palace did, but Lucy, she was always hardworking. No matter what she did or what task she had to complete, she would always get it done. This task, was the biggest of all. Lucy held in her arms the new born royal babies, well the new found Royal babies. Lucy looked up to see Aspyn and America and Maxon, her eyes light up and she tried to get up and run over but instead was pulled back by the heavy metal chains that were locked around her wrist. She panted as she held both children and knocked back onto the wall. Aspyn ran over to her " don't move Lucy" he whispered and kissed her quickly before removing the chains and embracing her jnto his arms.

He looked down at her and smiled softly. She looked up at him, her hands shaking as she wiped back a few loose strands of hair. Her wrists had two large circular bruises and slashed all up her arms. She was losing blood very quickly. Aspen tried to help her up but she fell back down, her legs being too weak.

More guards entered as they ushered out America, she was resisting the guards touch as her babies were being put into a different carriage, one that was black and had a big Red Cross on it. The emergency care carriage. America was put into a different one, windows and doors being blocked and bullet proofed. She knew it was for the babies own sake.

Another guard grabbed hold onto Lucy as they pulled her up into another emergency care carriage. Aspen was arguing with the guard, talking about how he needed to stay with her.

America sat with Aspen in the hospital room, Lucy was in put into a coma due to her severe wounds. The twins were put in quarantine as they tried to heal. America and Aspen sat in an empty room, the walls surrounded them cold and dark. She looked down at her fingers, twisting the gold band on her finger as he brushed a hand through his dark hair. He looked at her and smiled " thanks for freeing me" he said as she looked up and gave a weak smile. He let out a sigh as he looked at her, staring into her deep green eyes as if it was the first time he saw the glowing pair. Without hesitation, he inched over and kissed her.

America's eyes widened. Maxon hadn't been around very much, working got chaotic and especially after the rebel attack, the towns people were in more of a panic. She knew this wrong. She loved Maxon with all her heart but something from that kiss, reassured her that she was not okay. She needed something. Comfort. She knew this was definitely not the way to get it, especially from Aspen. But at that moment, something from that kiss resisted her from pulling away. It was what she needed.

Even if it was from Aspen.
