"Captain? Are you alright?" One of the crew mumbled. Denis stared off into the distance as he caught his breath. He pulled himself away from them as they mumbled to each other.
"What happened?"
"Shouldn't someone go after them?"
Denis went back onto the ship. He went right to his room, locking the door and covering the broken window. He looked around in pure disbelief. His eyes landed on the painting. Now that he was looking at it, he noticed which painting it was.
It was a family portrait that his mother had made before Denis set sail one year. He rushed over to it. The tear that Sub had left went right through someone's face. His father.
Denis quickly left the room. His crew had gathered into a group to figure out what was going on. He went over to them.
"I want each of you to split into pairs and search every inch of this island until you find them. We're not leaving until then." He called out. The group muttered to themselves. Holden squirmed through the group and went over to him.
"Captain, what about King Thomas' mission? We can't spend too much time here or we won't make it back in time." He said.
"My head is going to be on a stake either way so get your asses moving!" He snapped. The crew quickly split up and got off the ship. Cain still lingered on the deck. He glanced back at Denis before climbing off the ship, going by himself. Holden counted each of the groups and wrote their names down to keep track. He looked back to tell Denis, but he'd slammed his door shut again.

Elijah tied the horse to a pole. He wore Sub's robe and kept the hood draped over his face. He looked into the back of the cart.
"Anqu tre creb an. (I'll be right back.)" He whispered. A blanket in the back moved and Sub looked at him.
"Prudro tre eza. Absaalia phdra oac jo. (Please be quick. It's hot under here.)" Sub mumbled and hid under the blanket again. Elijah went over to a small shack. A man stood on the other side.
"I need one boat." Elijah said. He dropped a small sack filled with gold on the ledge. The man looked at it. He lifted it to see how heavy it was.
"How big?"
"Large enough for a three day trip for two."
"Hm." The man walked out from the shack and looked at the water. He turned back to Elijah. "I'll have one for you by tomorrow." He handed the gold back to Elijah.
"Thank you," Elijah turned to walk away. As he turned around, he ran into someone.
"Watch it!" The man he'd run into called. Elijah stared down at the floor.
"Undskyld mig. (Danish: Excuse me.)" Elijah muttered and quickly hurried back over to the cart. He untied the horse and climbed up.
Once they'd gotten a little ways out of the center of town, Sub stuck his head out. "Et? (So?)"
"Aicail uh ngloi blos eixfr. (He'll have it by tomorrow.)" Elijah explained. "Anqu bloc aivdra Jai. Anqu iedro ngbru shbaalpe neidra atkie. (I ran into Jodie. I think they're looking for us.)"
"Frosh...(Shit...)" Sub ducked back under the blanket as he noticed someone approaching. The cart came to a stop.
"Excuse me sir," Someone called. "Or should I say 'undskyld mig hr'. (Danish: Excuse me sir.)" Elijah looked over as Jodie and another one of Denis' crew walked up to him.
"You from Denmark or Greenland?" Jodie leaned against the cart.
"Greenland, sir." Elijah replied, practically mumbling to make sure Jodie didn't recognize his voice.
"Really? Are you familiar with the king's Oadrium?" Jodie asked. "We're looking for it. Seen it anywhere?" Elijah clutched the reins. He shook his head.
"No sir, I haven't. But I'll let you know if I see it." Elijah said. Jodie nodded. He looked over at the other man before stepping away from the cart. Elijah pulled the reins and the horse began to move.
They went back through the forest. When the village was out of sight, Elijah groaned and flopped backwards.
"Anqu boiang ish anqu se eiggaoujro eibro ieek, (I felt like I was gonna throw up.)" He whined. Sub came out from under the blanket and sat beside him.
"Ouboro, woaro atsky uh ibrdra tre ich quzroposh neidra oacbra lobro ebiva agtoi aitgheheper. (Well, now we have to be extra careful for the next twenty four hours.)" Sub sighed. Elijah sat up. He took Sub's robe off and threw it in the back of the cart.
"Uthphu iedro Dusgascaang gysang bevfobxiroposh oubgaro Aibloi Siv se eiggaoujro aibbaang ubbaang aiccroa? (You think Denis got scared that King Arther was gonna come get him?)" Elijah laughed. He laid back again, his body draping halfway into the cart. "On anqu briebro zairo outang bu, atsky ietnoa oad uh ibrdra fupbr ybr aiccroa afrgodi. Oang uthphu iedro atsky eic ubbaang matbroro hoiepra ibrdra aiccai loubro? (If I hide out long enough, we won't have to worry about him anymore. Do you think we could get front row to his execution?)"
"Oacbra aibloi miblogro ishposh uthphu, qascgroqeba aicail? (The king really likes you, doesn't he?)" Sub said. Elijah shrugged and sat up.
"Ytrbra ish ngysbauvro. Anqu hic obrroposh prgra ytrbra zie juxbo aittrbrro eisait. (More like values. I'm used as more of a status symbol.)" He looked over at Sub.
"Oatgro ybr uthphu efr Dusgascaang? Anqu egh, Uthphu ilyheper uh eblgoro oaga neidra- oatgro? Eicri, ebivyc....eiscre....aiboifiecdra boadroroheper! Rys uh uthphu naususis kec aiccroa neidra oubgaro outang? (What about you and Denis? I mean, You guys have know each for- what? One, two....ten....fourteen years! How have you dealt with him for that long?)" Sub stayed quiet. He looked down at his hands. Just before Elijah was about to speak again, they heard footsteps. Sub quickly went into the back of the cart and covered himself with the blanket while Elijah put the cloak back on.
"You guys are bad at hiding." A voice chuckled. Elijah spun around to them. Cain and Holden walked up to the cart. "We saw you both from a mile away."
Cain stuck his hand in and pulled the blanket away. Sub's head shot up and a branch fell down above them. Cain and Holden quickly jumped out of the way.
"Yscgrooidro! (Sorry!)" Sub called as he sat up. "Uthphu bevfobxiroposh cux, (You scared me.)"
"What do you guys want?" Elijah muttered. "You here to collect your prize for finding us?" Cain shook his head as he kicked the branch aside.
"We want to help you." He smiled. Elijah glared at Holden.
"What about the little guy? I thought you're Denis' assistant."
"Uhm...yeah..." Holden laughed nervously. "But my dad always told me to help magical creatu—people. And Uncle Denis is hiding in his room."
"Uncle?!" Elijah yelled. Sub tugged on Elijah's arm.
"Aicail Ncosobro tostre, (He's Noah's son.)" He said. Elijah sighed, looked back at the two, then back at Sub. He pulled Sub off the cart and brought him about ten feet away. They spoke back and forth for a while before they came back over.
"Fine. But if either of you betray us, I won't hesitate to kill you." Cain and Holden smiled.

Jodie climbed back onto the ship and knocked on the Captain's door. He heard a shuffle from the other side then the door opened.
"What?" Denis snapped.
"We have a lead." The other man smiled. "We caught someone from Greenland trying to buy a ship for two. Said he needed it for a three day trip. Greenland is much farther than that from here."
Denis turned and went over to the map laid out on the table. He placed his finger on the islands they were docked at then dragged it back and forth between the surrounding land. His eyes widened. He turned back to Jodie.
"Find them as soon as possible." He ordered. "I think I know where they're going."
