"Isro caqbo zaiboro! (Put me down!)" Elijah yelled. He kicked and punched at the man carrying him over his shoulder. He glared at Denis walking behind him. "What's going on? Where are we going?"
Denis smiled. "The market." He said.
"Why'd I have to be dragged here too?"
"To the market? Why would we go to the market without you? That'd be a pointless trip." The man carrying Elijah stopped. He took Elijah off his shoulder, holding onto his arm to make sure he didn't run off. Elijah looked ahead and his heart sank. He spun back around to Denis.
"You're going to sell me?!" He yelled. "In case you forgot, I don't belong to you."
"What? Were you starting to like that old man?" Denis smiled again and walked away. He went beside a woman sitting on a carpet selling vials of blood. The man brought Elijah over. He tied a rope around his ankles that went up to his waist and then around his wrists. He also put a blindfold around his eyes and mouth.
"Sub," Denis called. "Make sure he doesn't run off. I'm going to find some customers." He walked off with the other man. Elijah thrashed his head to shake the cloth around his face loose. He looked around. The black market was filled with goods that a normal person wouldn't really care for. There were other magic items being sold but it was difficult to tell who was just lying.
He noticed Denis towards the center of the market, trying to get the attention of some of the people walking past. Elijah rolled his eyes and looked over at Sub lurking behind him.
"Rtoer eqihoi ycrohosi? Trini ecbraiedroairo pixgra ougo looita, (What's he saying? I don't speak French.)" He mumbled. Sub glanced at him before looking back at Denis.
"Uxgromaiung scoreop,(Fifteen pounds.)"
"Uxgromaiung? Aiga yn trini cry itrbro aisro utrgraaichga, (Fifteen? At least I went up in price.)" Elijah sighed and scanned the stands again before turning back to Sub.
"Ynega gaidraang trini aiba ung shcry gig weibra oidro gaexoubo oazdro cre oierwy? (How come I'm the one that has to deal with this shit?)"
Sub smiled. "Ai oafroi ghro scyb orgo, (Because you talk too much.)"
Denis came back over a few minutes later. A man dressed in green robes followed him along with his servant. He looked like a wealthy Lord from the surrounding territory. They spoke back and forth for a moment in French before Denis turned to Elijah.
"This fine gentleman would like you to demonstrate some of your abilities." Denis smirked. He took out an apple and held it out in front of Elijah's face.
"Montre, (Watch.)" Denis said to the Lord. Elijah stared at the apple. It remained fresh and ripe.
Denis groaned and went to say something but just as he was distracted, the apple exploded, sending mushy bits and pieces flying everywhere. Denis wiped the mush from his face and looked over at the Lord to apologize, but he looked amazed instead of insulted. He whipped the apple from his face and smiled. He spoke to Denis for a while longer before handing him the money.
Denis grabbed the loose rope and yanked Elijah towards him. He held out the rope to the man.
"Plaisir de faire affaire avec vous, (Pleasure doing business with you.)" He said. The man handed the rope to his servant and began to walk away. Denis waved as Elijah glared at him. He stepped to the side just as a tree branch suddenly broke loose and fell where he had been standing before.

The Lord walked up to his home. It was a stone building that looked similar to a castle but not nearly as large. Elijah looked over the land. It was fields of farm land that stretched out towards the forest. Slaves worked out in the field as a man on a horse scanned to make sure no one stepped out of place.
