"Hadroska? Ym zoang atsky ruroalpe? (Mama? Where are we going?)" The boy's mother's grip tightened.
"Anqu hic oad cupgra...(I'm not sure...)" She whispered quietly so her son couldn't hear. She stared outside at the land as the cart bumbled along the path. Her son held onto her arms that were wrapped around him from behind. He looked up at her.
"Zoang atsky ruroalpe ym Rypgauk ijbaang? (Are we going where Daddy went?)" He asked. The woman's three eyes widened slightly. A tear dripped off her face and fell onto her son. She curled her legs in and lowered her head, holding her son in her lap. She didn't respond to him and began to sob quietly. The little boy hugged his mother, trying to reach his small arms all the way around her.
The cart came to a stop and the man at the front climbed down. He spoke to a man with gray hair beside the cart before he climbed into the back. He untied the boy's mother and pulled them both out.
As soon as they got down, the boy's mother collapsed on the ground. Her son sat beside her as she continued to scream and sob. She called out a man's name and hugged herself.
The man grabbed her arm and pulled her up. He yelled at her and ordered her to stand. Her son tried to help her even though he was a third of her height.
The man began to get frustrated with her yelling. He smacked her across the face and she immediately stopped.
"Hadroska? (Mama?)" The little boy whispered as he tugged on the woman's tethered dress. She stayed still and silent for a moment before she grabbed her son's hand and stood there with her head down.
The human walked over to the man he spoke with earlier. They spoke briefly before the second man left. He came back and dropped several bags of gold into the cart. They shook hands before he got back onto the cart and left.
The man with gray hair walked back over. He looked them over then turned to a group behind him.
"Bring the child to the farmhouse," He said as he began to walk away. The group came over.
The mother's head shot up. She picked her son up and held him close. She slowly backed away from the men in front of her.
"Oiwdro anblai tostre oasba! Prudro! Aicail juxbo tosza! (Leave my son alone! Please! He's just a child!)" She screamed. One of the men grabbed her and held her still while another ripped her son away from her arms. She clawed at the man's arms as her son cried out for her.
Suddenly, the man holding her stumbled. His head snapped up towards the sky. He let go of the woman as he fell to the ground, his eyes dull and his body lifeless.
The woman tried to get her son back but two other men grabbed her. They covered her face with a rag.
The other man hurried away with the boy as the woman's muffled screams of agony echoed through the small village.

Sub's head shot up. He looked around. Cain sat beside him in the back of the cart. He jumped from Sub's sudden movement.
"I was just about to wake you," Cain laughed. Sub held his chest and looked around again. They were in the town. Sub had his robe on again so his face was covered. He felt his heartbeat slow down.
Elijah walked up to the cart, also wearing a hood. He smiled at them both and pointed to a shack.
"The boat is ready." He said. "Are we ready to go?" Cain nodded and got out of the cart. He grabbed a few bags filled with fruits and other food.
"Holden said he'd distance Denis for about an hour so you both can get as far as possible." Cain said before he walked over to the boat.
Elijah climbed into the cart to grab other supplies they'd brought. He looked down at Sub.
"Uthphu crraang? (You okay?)" He asked quietly. Sub looked up at him and nodded. He grabbed a bag and went over to the boat. It was fairly large and had space below deck to sleep and store supplies. Elijah came over with the last bags. Sub sat on the deck and looked out at the sea. He glanced back at Elijah as he climbed out from below deck.
"Anqu uh juxbo ainro izalpe ybr ieoul, (I have a bad feeling about leaving.)" He mumbled. Elijah came over and sat beside him.
"Ocobra? Atsky ubbaang ibrdra ruro ji, Sipghth. Awgroang oubgaro oatgro uthphu croq? (Why? We get to go home, Sub. Isn't that what you want?)"
"Zoang uthphu cupgra atsky ietois ruro an ibrdra Resnein? Stuore oad iblgaro aibro afrgodi in. (Are you sure we should go back to Resnein? It's not safe there anymore either.)"
"Atsky ruro aokei ys eigro. Aokei biro eicri ietre oigro phobrozag atkie shagra. (We'll go somewhere else then. Somewhere no one can ever hurt us again.)"
Sub's eyes widened. He looked at Elijah. "Biro. Atsky ietre oad oiwdro. Atsky uh ibrdra ruro an. (No. We can't leave. We have to go back.)" Sub quickly stood up and turned to leave. Elijah grabbed his arm.
"Oatgro? Ocobra? (What? Why?)" Elijah called. Sub spun back around and grabbed Elijah's shoulders.
"Ije Eibocomul. Dusgascaang awgroang ruroalpe ve ngloi. Aibloi Tosoacit feiang aiccroa ibrdra broaimdrooscang ngloi. (Ije Eibocomul. Denis is going after it. King Thomas sent him to steal it.)" Sub explained. "Atsky pho ibrdra ruro kec aiccroa ibrdra ubbaang ngloi an. Atsky ietre ngang ngloi an ibrdra Resnein efr shel cupgra ngloi qieroheper iblgaro. (We need to go with him to get it back. We can bring it back to Resnein and make sure it stays safe.)"
Sub got off the boat and went back over to the cart. Elijah quickly ran after him. He hugged him from behind.
"Anqu aibopero uthphu, Sipghth. (I trust you, Sub.)"

"Captain!" Someone yelled out. Denis looked over towards the town. He saw the cart slowly making its way towards the docks. Cain jumped down from the front and went over to the ship. "I found them!"
Denis got off the ship and looked into the back of the cart. He seemed shocked as we saw Sub and Elijah sitting in the back. Sub got down and stood in front of Denis. He bowed.
"We are sorry." He mumbled. Elijah climbed down and stood beside him. He stared at Denis before bowing as well. Denis stood there in disbelief for a moment.
"Get on the ship. We've wasted far too much time here." He muttered. A few of the crew came over and stood behind the two Oadriums to make sure they didn't run again.
"Bring Sub to my room," Denis ordered. He walked over and grabbed Elijah's arm. He dragged him below deck and shoved him back in the cell. As Elijah turned back to him, Denis punched him across the face. Elijah stumbled back as he grabbed the side of his face, spitting blood out of his mouth.
"Remember your place, Elijah." Denis mumbled.
"And where is that?" Elijah said as he gained his balance again. "I think you underestimate me. I've killed people, Denis. More than I can count. There's nothing stopping me from killing you and your whole crew right now."
Denis held his arms out "Then do it." He smirked. He stayed there for a while as Elijah went silent. He laughed to himself and stepped out of the cell.
"No one as weak as you should have that much power." Denis muttered as he locked the door.
