"How are you?" Poppy asked in a low voice.
"Quite good actually," I smiled at her. She quickly moved next to my bed and gave me a soft hug. I could feel she was scared that she could hurt me if she hugged me too hard. "Don't worry Poppy, I am not from sugar. I won't crumble," I put my hands around her small body and hugged her back. Firmly, but lovingly.
"You are the bravest and toughest witch I know," she chuckled and pulled out from the hug but still left one hand on my forearm.
"Is everyone else alright? I mean, everyone except professor Fi..." I couldn't finish the sentence. In my mind I've accepted the fact that he was not here anymore. But saying it outloud...it would make it somewhat irreversible...definitive.
"I am so sorry Lynette. I know that you were really close with him," said Poppy. She then reached one hand to my face and captured the one tear that was running down my cheek with her thumb. I didn't even realize I've started crying.
"But don't worry. Everyone else who was down there with you is ok." Naty had a sad smile on her face but I could feel the relief in her voice. Her mother was also defending the repository with me.
"Good," I exhaled.
"What Madam Blainey said? Are you really alright?" Ominis asked quietly. I turned my head to the direction of his voice. He stood far back next to Sebastian. Both of their faces were laced with worry. Dark circles under their eyes. I guess neither one of them slept well these past few days. If at all.
"I am alright, really. No major injuries. Nothing she couldn't handle," I tried to calm everyone. Their faces relaxed a little. "She will maybe let me go today."
"We will see in just a minute." As I would summon her again, Nurse Blainey appeared next to my bed. "I have to ask everyone to leave, please. Our patient needs a little bit of privacy," she said as she started to draw the curtains around my bed.
"Of course. We will see you later Lynette," Naty smiled at me and started to drive everyone out from the hospital wing. I smiled back at her nodding.
"Profesor Weasley wants to speak with you after we are finished," said Blainey and started to examine my scars from those burns she mentioned yesterday. She then checked my temperature and pulse. "Any headache?" she asked.
"No, I feel good actually," I shaked my head.
"You are not lying, are you? Just so I discharge you," she continued checking my remaining injuries. The bruise on my leg looked really bad. Dark purple, almost black in some places covering almost my whole right thigh.
"No I'm not," I kept shaking my head.
"Alright. But I would rather be if someone accompanied you to your dorms. You may feel a little bit light headed and we don't know if you could walk with that injured leg."
"I will do it," came from the door. I recognised the voice instantly.
"Thank you Ominis," I smiled and quickly swung my leg down from the bed. Silent hiss of pain left my lips.
"Careful!" he swiftly moved next to me. "I need to speak with you," he then explained his presence to prevent my question about why he was there.
"Alright, but I have to change first," I giggled shyly.
"Oh. My apologies." His face turned slightly pink. "Call me when you are ready to leave. I will be waiting outside?" he blurred out swiftly and left the room.
I quickly got rid of the hospital gown I had on me and changed to my normal clothes Poppy kindly provided to me earlier.
"Before you leave for summer I would like to check you one last time," nurse Blainey said and left for her room soon after.
