"Are you aware that you are old enough to go to the restriction section legally? You just need a permit from any processor," Sebastian smiled at me as he was hopping down the stairs.
"Of course I know. I just don't want to explain to anyone what exactly I am looking for. Especially when I don't even know what I am looking for."
"Ah, simply admit it. You were just missing our old adventures and wanted to break some rules," he said with a mischievous look on his face.
"Whatever you say, Sallow. Same plan as last time?"
"Why change it if it works? But without the poltergeist this time if you are ok with it." He kept his amused tone, still smiling wildly.
"The less Peeves the better. It would be a shame if you would have to cover me again."
"Why do you think I would do it again? Maybe one detention was enough. Why don't change it up a little. If someone catches us, you will cover me this time."
"Not a chance, Sebastian." I stick my tongue at him.
"Fine. I guess we have to be extra careful today. Come on. Let's go." We finally stopped bickering.
Our plan worked perfectly. We enter the restriction section with no problem. Sebastian led me to the far back of it where they store the Dark Arts books.
"I would highly recommend you not open this book," he pointed at the one that was pitch black. "It screams when open."
"Ok. Thanks. You know what we are looking for. Let's start."
I moved to the opposite side and started to look for anything useful. My finger glided softly against the back of every book, my head slightly tilted so I could read the titles of it better. But I couldn't' help myself and flicked my eyes towards Sebastian from time to time.
"We will be here for ages if you won't stop checking on me. I will not start randomly casting Unforgivables, Lynette," he said, slightly annoyed.
"I don't think you wou-... That's not what I-... Sorry." I started to stutter in embarrassment. "I trust you, I really do."
"I know, I was just teasing you."
I quickly returned back to the books, pulling out a few that looked promising. After more than a half an hour we were done looking through this section with quite a selection between us. Each of us randomly picked one and scrolled through it. If it wasn't useful we returned it back with a quick flick of our wand.
"Maybe it will be better to read it somewhere else. This light really hurts my eyes," I rubbed the bridge of my nose with my eyes shut firmly.
"Good idea," Sebastian agreed. He then stretched both of his arms with a loud growl, his bones cracking even louder.
"Tell your skeleton to shut up. Even those prefect outside the library must have heard that," I giggled.
"I am getting old."
"Sure, grandpa." A laugh escaped my mouth before I was able to stop it.
Both of us stood silent for a few seconds, listening for any footsteps or other noises. But it seemed that no one was near enough to hear it. I put the last three books in my bag, preparing to leave but I suddenly realized something.
"Speaking of age, Ominis birthday is next week, right?" I looked at Sebastian, panic in my eyes.
"Yeah. Don't tell me you forgot. What a bad fiancée you are," he reproved me with a raised finger.
