You sat at the large table next to your mother and waited for the rest of the board members to show up. She placed a hand on your shoulder and smiled at you.
"You okay?"
"Me? Yeah. I'm fine. Why?"
"You seem nervous."
"I really don't want Matsson to have the studio."
"Neither do I."
Everyone piled into the room and filled the remaining seats. Roman sat on the other side of you and poured himself a glass of water.
"Your scar is bleeding." You whispered.
"Yeah. A little gift from big brother."
Kendall spoke for a few minutes until it was time to vote. Obviously, he voted against it. So did Ewan, Stewy, and a few others.
"Roman?"
"Nope."
"Missy?"
"No."
"Moira?"
"No."
"Shiv?"
She didn't respond. She hesitated for a moment before getting up and walking out of the room. Kendall and Roman quickly followed after her.
"What was that?" You asked your mom.
"I think she's backing out."
"No f*cking way."
"What is going on?"
"It's a tie. We need Shiv's vote."
When you heard the three siblings yelling, you got up and quickly went to where they were.
"What's happening?"
"Moira, this is a family matter." Kendall told you.
"Chill the f*ck out." Shiv said. "She's more family than anyone else in that room."
"Listen, Shivvy. Let's just go back in the room and vote." You told the redhead.
"I can't vote for Kendall. He can't be CEO."
"Why not?"
"Because he killed someone!"
"What?"
"Which?"
"What do you mean which?" His brother asked. "You've killed so many people that you've forgot which one?"
"No, that's not an issue."
"It kinda sounds like a f*cking issue, Ken."
"That didn't happen."
"You told me and Rome that it did happen."
"I think I just formed something out of nothing."
"You lied about killing someone?" You asked.
"Yeah, well, there was that kid."
"You killed a kid?"
"I didn't kill him! I wasn't even in the car!"
"Did it happen, or did it not happen?"
"It did not happen!"
"Oh my God!"
"Siobhan! Please! You have to vote for me!"
"I'm not too convinced about the killing a kid thing, but I agree." You said. "I can't give Matsson a share of my studio."
"No."
