I swallowed hard before finally looking at Tom. He was staring at me, waiting for an answer.

Was it smart to tell him everything? Honestly, I didn't give a damn at this point.

"In the alley where we met, I saw someone dressed as a ghostface. At first I thought I was dreaming, but then I saw him again in the nightclub, which is why I wanted to go home. Then there were these messages from a stranger telling me to be careful..." I say in panic, feeling tears welling up.

Tom pulled me closer to his chest and I calmed down as I heard the sound of his heart beating. It's amazing how he can calm me down just by holding me.

"Give me your phone." he whispered, calmly.

I detached myself from his embrace and took my phone out of my pocket to pass him the stranger's messages.

He looked shocked and scratched the back of his neck nervously as he handed me back my phone.

He was scared.

"They're going to find whoever did this." he says, not so sure of himself.

I didn't answer, and we looked at each other like that for maybe 5 minutes before he kissed me on the forehead and left my room.

I woke up, hoping that everything that had happened since yesterday was just a nightmare. Unfortunately, I recognized the huge ass room, that wasn't mine.

I sat there, silently, doing nothing for maybe 10 minutes before deciding to get dressed and go downstairs to eat something, because since yesterday morning I hadn't been able to swallow a thing, which was normal when your best friend had just been brutally murdered.

As I descended the stairs to find the kitchen, I heard a burst of voices, speaking in German. They seemed to be arguing.

I entered the kitchen and discovered Tom and Bill. They were so busy bickering that they didn't even notice I was there until 5 minutes later.

As soon as they saw me, Tom's eyes turned soft and Bill came over to me to give me a hug.

"How are you feeling today?" Bill said as he let go of me.

I bit my lower lip lightly as I looked at Tom, who had a worried look on his face. I gave him a half-smile before turning to Bill.

"Honestly, I'm still shocked, but I think I'm starting to realize the whole death thing." I replied as I took a seat.

He nodded slightly before serving me food. I was so out of it that I hadn't even noticed he'd made me breakfast.

Bill really was a sweetheart.

"You shouldn't have!" I say, giving Bill a big smile.

"I'd do anything to make you smile again. You deserve it." he replied as he patted the top of my head and just left the kitchen.

That left Tom and me. He came and sat beside me, taking a few sips of his coffee and watching me intently as I ate my breakfast.

"What were you arguing about?" I asked, remaining focused on my food.

He sighed and put his head in his hands, then rested his gaze on me.

"Dumb stuff." he said, and I nodded, seeing that he didn't want to talk about it any further than that.

"Have you slept well?" he asked, scratching the back of his neck nervously. He did that a lot.

I got up to put my plate in the sink before turning to Tom and leaning on the edge of the sink.

"I was exhausted so yes, but it wasn't the most comfortable sleep I've had."

Tom didn't have time to answer before Zoe came into the kitchen, still with big bags under her eyes. She hadn't slept well.

"I'll leave you to it," said Tom as he got up. He walked past me and lightly stroked my arm before leaving the kitchen.

"What's his deal?" Zoe said before settling down on the chair where Tom was sitting.

"Nothing, just eat." I replied, handing her some food.

To cheer us up a bit and stop us staying in our rooms crying, the boys suggested we go to one of their rehearsals.

Zoe and I hesitated for a long time, but we finally went along after the boys insisted. After all, we had to get away from it all, didn't we?

They had a replenishing slab in the basement of their house, so we sat in armchairs and watched them do it.

I looked at my best friend, who had her eyes trained on one long-haired brunette in particular.

I wondered how Georg and Zoe's relationship was progressing. I hoped he was there for her in her time of need.

I then turned to Tom, they were all on their phones at the moment so I couldn't wait for them to start. It was like a VIP concert really.

The weird thing was that Sarah wasn't there to see her favorite band. By the way, how did Bill feel about Sarah? I know they hardly knew each other, but it was still a girl he'd brought to the hotel, wasn't it?

I felt my phone vibrate suddenly, which made me shiver. I hated that damn phone.

"feel free to scream"
