A few days had passed and still no news of the police or the ongoing investigation. No news from ghostface either, no messages, no visits, which I didn't mind.
Our house was still being seized by the police and, to be honest, I wasn't that attached to it.
We'd only just arrived, I remind you, and on top of that the memory of Sarah's murder there didn't make me want to go back.
The boys had told us we could stay here as long as we wanted, but I had a bad feeling about this shared flat. Especially since ghostface had already paid us a visit here.
I was in my room, on my computer that hadn't been seized by the police, looking for new homes for Zoe and me.
I couldn't live without her, I needed Zoe more than ever and so did she.
Suddenly, I heard the creak of my door signalling that I had a visitor, so I looked up from my computer.
"Hi..." said Tom from the threshold of my bedroom door.
"Come in." I say, turning off my computer and placing it under my pillows.
He came in and stood on the edge of my bed. He looked worried, as if something was wrong.
"To what do I owe your visit?" I asked him without smiling.
He swallowed hard before looking into my eyes.
"We haven't talked about the night I told you I liked you..." he said, scratching his hands nervously.
"Look, I really like you too, but you have to understand that I need time... My best friend was murdered a week ago and I was attacked by a psychopath who stalks me by text message. I don't feel like jumping into a relationship when it's all still so new..."
He nodded slowly, averting his gaze from mine as if lost in thought. I felt a little sorry for him, in truth.
"Are you going to be all right?" I asked in a sympathetic tone.
"Don't worry about me, I'll wait for you." he said with a half smile before getting up and leaving.
I sighed before stretching out on my bed. Why was this happening to me? Why couldn't I have a normal young adult life?

Zoe had booked me an appointment to see a psychologist and I was under a lot of stress. I didn't feel ready to talk about what had been going on lately but Zoe thought it was good to get things out so I agreed.
We were both waiting our turn and it was getting LONG. I was skeptical of psychologists and extremely suspicious, and, on top of that, HE ALLOWED HIMSELF TO BE LATE?
The office door finally opened and a man left, thanking the psychologist who was, to my surprise, very, very handsome. He was blond, tall and young, which surprised me slightly, but was totally fine with me.
"Cici Cooper?" the man asked, turning toward the waiting room.
"That's me." I replied, standing up, which made the man smile.
I entered his office and sat down on a sofa, kicking my knees nervously.
"Hello Cici, I'm Doctor Hart." he said, settling into the armchair beside me.
"Aren't you a bit young to be a psychologist?" I asked, suspicious, which made him laugh.
"And aren't you a little too pretty to be mentally unstable?" he asked in return, which made me laugh nervously.
"So tell me Cici, what did those beautiful eyes see that needs to be talking about?" he continued, reclining a little further back in his chair.
I felt myself blushing, but not because I was flattered, because I was embarrassed. Flirting with a psychologist when I had Tom at home who would do anything to be with me?
"Tell me everything." he insisted, focusing a little more on me.

I left the office after discussing what had happened for two hours straight and was quite confused about the appointment.
On the one hand, I felt that talking to a specialist had freed me a little, even though I hadn't mentioned the messages, but on the other hand, Dr. Hart had spent his time flirting with me.
"Well?" asked Zoé as soon as she saw me arrive.
"I think Dr. Hart likes me," I replied nervously.
"As soon as he saw you he fell in love, Cici. I saw him looking at you when you walked towards him."
I dug my nails into my palms. I'd just confided in someone who suddenly didn't inspire much confidence.
"Did he at least help you?" she continued, heading for the exit door.
"Huhhh, I don't know." I replied, still a little shocked.
We returned to the Tokio Hotel to find them in the living room playing video games. When we arrived, they all turned to us.
"So how did it go?" asked Bill as he approached us.
"The psychologist was totally in love with Cici," said Zoé, heading straight for Georg.
I REALLY wanted to slap her. She didn't have to say it in front of Tom, dammit.
"Really?" Tom said, arching an eyebrow and clenching his jaw.
"He flirted with me a little, but nothing too mean," I say, glowering at Zoe.
Tom didn't reply, his eyes were riveted to the ground and his fists were clenched. He was really starting to scare me.
Seeing that nobody dared to speak, I headed for the kitchen to escape this extremely awkward moment.
My phone began to vibrate. I swear to God, I'm going to throw this damn phone away one of these days.
"I'll handle it."
