"Who are you?"

With her hand clutching her medallion in her sweatshirt pocket, Yui reviewed the options left to her.

Obviously, revealing her identity, as Chuuya Nakahara was expecting, was not a solution. Who knows what he might tell his boss, and who knows what might get back to her dear father?

But she knew perfectly well that, now that she had been the 'witness' of a scene that was supposed to remain unknown to the common people, the young man in front of her would not let her run away so easily.

The options were not numerous, far from it. She suspected that such a high-ranking member of the Mafia had the power to catch her and make her talk no matter what.

Despite being used to torture, using force on her would not really be of any use. Even if she would gladly do without having to relive this kind of thing, she had to admit it to herself.

There was only one way out. And that was worse than torture itself. But did she have a choice? If she did not want her father to find out about her little schemes, and lock her up for eternity, so she would not repeat her brother and sister's pattern, she was going to have to do it.

Never again.

She sighed shakily, the hood of her sweatshirt still concealing her hair and eyes, and clutched her cold metal locket more tightly, which gradually warmed to her touch.

"V...?" she whispered in a desperate voice.

The memories were starting to come flooding back, and she had to be quick before she started to suffocate.

As Chuuya Nakahara ordered one of his men to move towards her, a white aura began to radiate from her body, shaking her clothes with the force of the gusts of wind.

The guard did not even have the chance to catch the arm of the stranger, that this one disappeared literally under his eyes, as evaporated in the summer breeze of this summer night.

In front of him, at the place where the person with the pants and the hoodie was before, this last one brought back on his head, the emptiness. Even the wisps of white light had vanished, making Chuuya stifle a curse word, barely realizing what had just happened.

"Damn- he had an ability...!"

The result: someone had caught him in the middle of an 'open interrogation', had fled before his eyes without him being able to do anything, and on top of that was an ability user.

To make matters worse, he couldn't even see his face. From the shape of her body and her figure, he could assume it was a woman, but he couldn't be completely sure.

Such an incident would have to be mentioned in the report he was going to write, without fail. Mori would know how badly he had screwed up, and he wasn't the least bit happy about it.

He was angry, that he had been tricked like that. Even with all his skills and ability, there was nothing he could do to stop this stranger. And the fact that he obviously had such a dangerous ability didn't help him.

He had never heard of such a power, even though the Mafia knew about everything that was going on in Yokohama. Where did this person come from, then? Was she a real threat to the stability of this city, or just a harmless isolated case?

He came to his senses a few seconds later, once the surprise had passed, despite the anxiety that was slowly creeping up on him.

"Search the area, I want this guy found!" he declared in a confident tone, taking care not to raise his voice more than necessary.
