chapter nine

[Suprise motherfucker- my indecisive ass changed my mind again. The chapters are rushed, so they're probably bad, but i did this all in a day. Btw This takes place around three weeks after the last chapter]

Wilbur was supposed to he having his first date with quackity since he lost his memories. He was so happy when the other asked him out to dinner. He made sure to get all dressed up even though it took him over an hour to get ready.

You'd think he would get mad that it got canceled last minute, yet he wasn't. He wasn't mad because his brother was the reason it was canceled.

When he found his younger brother tommy alone and asleep on a park bench in the middle of the night, neither of them even thought of the date. They were both more worried about why a teenager was alone and hurt.

"Tommy?!" Wilbur shook him, hoping he would wake up, and he did. He woke up in a panic. "Get away! Get away!" He said loud enough that it would probably be considered yelling.

Wilbur didn't get away, though. He pulled him into a hug like he always did when they were both younger. "It's okay, toms, you're safe. I promise I'll always protect you," he said.

He didn't expect the younger boy to start sobbing. "Me and philza got I to a fight," he muttered. He had never called his father philza. It was always dad or father, the two were always close. Philza actually seemed to care about him.

"Do you wanna talk about it?" Wilbur asked as he held the sobbing teen tighter. He nodded. "I was asking dad about you and techno," he said.

-a few hours earlier-

Tommy walked over to philza, who was working on some paper work, "dad? Have the police found anything out about techno and wilbur?" He asked. He was really worried, wilbur disappeared a bit ago and now techno, he was scared that something had happened to them.

"There are no police looking for them. We've got bigger problems, some villain killed like ten heroes Tommy and all you care about is wilbur and techno?"

"I never said that! Why are you acting like two peoples lives aren't important. Especially your son's and best friend's lives! Would you act like that if I was gone?!"

"Maybe I would. You'll understand one day when you're a hero." He said he was sounding a bit angry now. "I already told you I don't want to be a hero." Tommy said he would much rather be an artist of some kind.

"I don't care Tommy, you're going to be a hero. I told wilbur the same thing. " "yea and now wilburs gone!" Tommy blurted out.

Right after Tommy said that, he felt a sharp pain on his face, "watch what you say. You're almost as bad as wilbur. Maybe you should have gone missing instead of him. He was actually useful, " philza said before getting up and walking away.

Tommy stood there as tears fell down his face. He didn't know how to react. His father, the person he looked up to his entire life, just told him he wished he was missing.

A few minutes later, he heard footsteps, he looked up to see his father with a backpack in his hands. He tossed it to Tommy. "If you love wilbur so much, why don't you find him and go live with him" he said.

He was expecting Tommy to apologize and stop talking about his brother. Instead, tommy picked the backpack up and put it on. "Fine then! He'd probably care more than you!" He shouted, then ran out the door.

All he had was the clothes on his back and the few things his 'father' packed him. He didn't care, though. He just wanted to find wilbur.

- present time-

Wilbur stood there in shock. He knew his father was a terrible person, but he didn't think he'd take it this far. He didn't know what to do since he wasn't the one who owned the house he was living in.

He was about to ask quackity if Tommy could stay when he said, "You poor thing, you can come stay with us." Quackity had a thing for taking in people who were abused or abandoned by heroes.

He helped them, turned them into something more powerful. Someone who was feared and respected. Wilbur smiled. He loved that about quackity. He was pretty kind for a villain.

"Let's get you home," he said, hoping quackity wouldn't be too mad about their date being canceled.
