Dear Human Sexuality,
You're weird. There, I said it. You cause so much grief for so many people, yet wonder and happiness for many others. I'm not saying that you're the problem, Human Sexuality, humans are the problem. We say that being a straight man or woman is the way nature intended the world to be, and that anyone that is otherwise is damned or some other nonsense like that. But if being only a straight man or woman was all that the would should be, then why are you such a complex beast that no one can understand? As a straight woman who hasn't had much issue with her gender and sexuality, I shouldn't have to care about this. But I do. If sexuality is as complex and weird as it is, we should embrace it. There aren't 2 or 3 or however many different boxes you think people should be sorted into. There are 7 billion, and you just have to accept that. But you don't just have to tolerate diversity. You should enjoy it. Love people for who they are, and embrace your own little box.
