Chapter 15

Alec POV

Friday sure took its sweet time to come around after my very eventful Tuesday. By the time I had made my way inside the school after the fight on Tuesday everyone knew about it. Each time student's passed me in the hallways they would point and whisper about the morning's happenings until I would get so fed up with them that I would growl in response. I saw many necks that day. Idiots. If they weren't so obvious they would not have ticked my wolf and me off so much, but no, it appears many werewolves seem to lack common sense.

Today I woke up feeling excited and nervous. I struggled to fall asleep last night and woke up before my alarm today. Kayden was teasing me relentlessly about being too eager to see our mate and when I pointed out that he was just as excited as I was, he just gave me a smug wolf grin and stuck his tongue out in my mind's eye. Asshole.

I can't wait to see her perform tonight then I'm going to snatch my mate away before she has the chance to run away from me again. I won't let her run and I'll make sure she's safe in my arms one way or another. Kayden growls in agreement.

As I park my car right in front of the school, Matt and I get out at the same time. My poor Beta is car less until further notice, one of his lets call her a friend shifted in his car when he tried to break it off with her. So it needs a major reconstruction surgery. I cringe simply thinking about it. Now the idiot has to travel with either Eric or I, unless he wants to run to school. Which is an option. But basically until further notice Eric and I are acting as his chauffeur. I must be an incredible Alpha and best friend I think to myself rolling my eyes internally. As we shut the car door simultaneously we nod over the roof of the car and go our separate ways.

I walked into the school and I groaned internally, the busy halls say today is going to be a long day. Ugh, I need the day that has basically just started to come close to an end, and quickly at that. The sooner it ends the sooner I can have my mate in my arms.

The first couple of periods came and went, it was currently lunch hour. I was playing with my food like a fussy kid because I was becoming nervous about seeing my beautiful mate later on. My head was swimming with thoughts of her, so my guard was down and I did not notice the mean girl, or Queen Bee as she likes to be referred to, Ashley walking up to me. By the time I had cleared my head, she was standing in front of me, smiling. I stared blankly at her.

She opens her mouth to say something and as she does, Matt on my right snickers and says, "Oh this is going to be entertaining, isn't it Eric?"

In the side of my eye I see Eric jab his elbow into Matt's stomach in response.

"Hey baby" she said in what she must think is a seductive voice, it's not, it's too high pitched and makes my ears feel like bleeding.

But this she wolf must think too highly of herself because as she says it, she runs her nails up and down my bicep. I immediately tensed when her hand made contact with my arm, Kayden started growling aggressively in my head, demanding I remove her hand. The Alpha in me was loosing his temper not liking the blatant disrespect of this she wolf who thought she had the right to touch me without permission.

I felt my eyes shift back and forth between black and it's natural colour as I released a threatening growl as I roughly grabbed a hold of her hand. Before releasing it as if her skin burnt me.

I barely manage to grit out the words, "Don't touch me Ashley."

"Baby, I'm so hurt that is no way to treat and talk to your Luna." she says in a voice that sounds hurt as her hand goes up to touch where her heart is, in mock hurt.

That does it, the little bit of control I had flies out the fucking window and I started seeing red. This she-wolf is going to die, I decided. I stood up from my seat so quickly that the chair I was sitting on fell backwards. Ashley took a step back nervously as she took in the murderous expression on my face. Before she could get too far away from me I grabbed her by the neck and shoved her body into the nearest wall. Holding her up like that. I see fear filter into her eyes and Kayden growls in pleasure seeing the fear overcome her body. She started shaking like a leaf.
