Melody's POV

I remove myself from Alec's arms rather reluctantly as I tell him that I need to change out of my 'Aubrey Elizabeth' attire and scrub the makeup clean off of my face. I quickly made my way into the bathroom attached to my dressing room, leaving my mate to dilly dallying in my dressing room. I hastily changed into a casual outfit, not wanting to be separated from my mate for too long. As soon as I make it out of the bathroom I gravitated towards Alec, as I moved towards him, his hand shot out. I smiled up at him as I joined our fingers together. Alec squeezed our joined hands in response.

"Let's go little one," he murmured leading me out of the dressing room as though he knew exactly were to go. One could question who's concert this was.

"Don't complain," Viola bit out, "Mate only wants to take care of us."

"I'm not complaining." I tell her, but she's too busy crouching down with her tail waggling in the air to notice me. I watch in my minds eye as she ran in the opposite direction she was facing as a big wolf pounced after her.

Stupid love sick dog, I think, internally shaking my head.

When we made it to the parking lot we were bombarded with questions from the ensuing crowd wanting to catch a glimpse of 'Aubrey Elizabeth' leaving her show. Not that they ever have, I'm pretty sneaky when I have to be. Alec shields us as we exit the building, ensuring no one gets close enough to make me uncomfortable. I hoped that there would be no one in the parking lot waiting for 'Aubrey' but luck does not appear to be on my side. Standing by his car are all of my brothers, all with arms crossed. Some of those jerks have gone as far as leaning on my mate's poor car. But my brothers being my brothers are not too concerned with that, rather their concern is as always me. They bombard us with a thousand and one questions simultaneously too, just like the crowd did until they lost interest in us. Their protective sides taking the stage.

"How did it go?" Demands Ash instead of asking.

"Are you going to take good care of her?" asks Mase but it sounds more like a command.

"Did you tell him everything?" Asks Jace.

"How did he take it?" Asks Grey, "He didn't try to do anything you weren't comfortable with, right?" Grey further questions.

"He's not going to take you away from us now, right?" Asks Liam in a small voice.

My hand in Alec's tightens and I turn my face towards his chest. I hiding me from the embarrassment that are my older siblings. I feel Alec's chest move as he chuckles at my misery. Could my brothers not wait until later to do this? Ugh boys. After being showered with various unnecessary questions by my brothers and cousins we managed to get into Alec's car. Which they had been conveniently blocking the entire time.

In the car we discussed going to the movies to spend some time with each other. Typical first date. How cliche.

Alec placed his hand in mine and left our joined hand in my lap as he drove. Half way through the drive when the silence started eating away at my soul I broke it.

"Sorry about them, they're just extremely overprotective of me."

"It's okay love," says Alec in between chuckles.

He takes our joined hand from my lap to kiss it before depositing it back in my lap making me blush. I decide to keep the conversation flowing between us and tell him I adore his car.

"I can't believe this beautiful white BMW i8 is yours" I say in awe.

"Why?" he asks, taking his gaze off of the road to look at me before returning it after a moment.
