Chapter Four: Conversation with Remus

[Lily's POV]

"You are gay, Remus!" I whisper/yell, trying to keep my voice down, because we aren't supposed to be in the halls currently. I started pulling Remus toward the Room of Requirement, and to my suprise, he followed.

While running our conversation stayed going, "I am not a homosexual, Lily. I of all people would know this. I and I alone. I like women..."

"How could this attraction be explained then, Remus?" I ask, pulling him the opposite way he was heading, which was the wrong way, not much of a distance now, just a straight away. There it is! I run to the door, open it, pull Remus through, and shut the door behind us. Remus's eyes widen in shock as the door dissapears. Nice act, i think, there is no way he has never seen the room of requirement, with his bestfriends being the troublemakers of the school.

"He saved my LIFE Lily, my LIFE! How could you not feel something after that!" Remus yells, after catching his breath. I have to admit, i haven't ran that fast in a long while.

"REMUS!! I know this is hard for you, just listen to me, all right?" I yell, gosh, I have been doing that an aweful lot today, my throat hurts. My hand flies to my throat, subconsiously.

"Ok."

"Good. Now, when you were around Sirius before the full moon, how did you feel?"

"He was my bestfriend, if I cought myself thinking about him, I would most deffinitly act like nothing was wrong, and shrug it off." Remus replies, coolly.

"And after the incident?" I ask, thinking that it would be nice to sit down, I look around and find a couch, nestled in front of a fireplace, I sit, and pat the seat telling Remus silently to sit down.

"I find it hard to concentrate around him. He's always so hyper and he makes me laugh so much, sometimes even when he isn't trying to be funny. He just makes me laugh. Like earlier today, when we were sitting in one of the Gryffindor compartments, he was messing with James. I was laughing, silently, so as to not direct attention towards myself." Remus says, his eyes glazing over and a smile forming on his face at the memory.

"You have it so bad for him and don't even realize how bad." I yawn.

Remus's eyes are still glazed over, so I put my head down on his shoulder and close my eyes. I drifted off to sleep.

It was fifth year, and I had just woken up from the full moon. My muscles ached. I stuck my arms up in the air, and yawned. Good Morning, Remus.

I looked down, to realize that SIrius was sleeping on the floor. James was nowhere to be found, he was probably back in the castle by now, unless he slept in the forest. I noticed he was shirtless, and his pants sat lazily on him. I got up, trying to avoid stepping on him, and instead of missing him, I tripped and ended up falling on top of him.

Sirius jerked awake. His eyes flew open.

"Geez, Remus. I knew I was good-looking, but this is deffinitly a confirmation. Just couldn't keep away could you?" Sirius comments.

I feel my face fill with blood. I got up quickly, and brushed myself off. I was wearing Sirius's shirt...

Sirius stood up, and his pants were so loose on him, you could see his hipbones. I shook my head to get the thought out of my head.

Suddenly, James burst through the doors, his arm all bruised and funny shaped. It could have been broken. Maybe. I walked over to him, and poked his arm. It was deffinitly broken.

"What happened last night?" I asked, looking for something straight to make a temporary stint for James's arm, so we could get him to Madame Pomfrey, and not get funny looks.

"Well, You were kicking my ass, Remus." James says.

"Right you were Remus! Good job at that by the way. It was quite the riot. Ok, here is the story," Sirius starts, "You were just being a normal werewolf, from my expertise in werewolf behaviour, trying to kick James's ass, while I watched, because it was hilarious. I don't rightly know where Peter was, but he must have been around somewhere." Sirius gets so side tracked sometimes. He sits down, and I found a wooden spoon, putting it next to James's arm and wrapping his arm up, trying to keep it straight. I kept listening to Sirius, "I don't really care where Peter was, honest. But, back on subject, Remus, you had escaped from this fine establishment here, you see, and James was trying to put you back in here, because you were down right scary. Prongsie was sucking at it, and you knocked him out by throwing him into a tree, which probably broke his arm, as you see. You started running toward the castle."

I gasped.

"Gasp is right. So, you were running toward the castle, and I had to keep you from doing that. I bit, or rather, snapped at your legs, trying to annoy you to the point that you would forget about the castle, and you would chase me back into the shack. It took me a few tries, but eventually, you were chasing after me. It was almost dawn, so I bolted toward the shack, and made it just in time, you got inside, chasing after me, and the sun rose as soon as we got inside, and you got all bookwormy human again." Sirius finishes with a smile.

Wait, I had attacked James, I was the one who broke his arm. I felt guilt squeeze my stomach, causing it to clench and make me feel all sick.

"I am sorry, Prongs." I say, to James, I can't beleive I did that.

"Its alright, Moony. You weren't you then. You were, well, a werewolf." James says, downplaying the seriousness of the situation.

"Well, I am still responcible for this. Let's get you to the Hospital Wing." I say, as we start towards the passage of the Whomping Willow.

I looked around and heard Lily's deep breaths as she slept on my shoulder. I also heard her mumbling something.

"James." She mumbles, a smile forming on her face.

This is awkward. Could she maybe actually like James? I decide to pick her up and carry her back to the Gryffindor Common Room.
