Chapter Five

Chapter Five: Hide and Seek

[James's POV]

I awoke to a growl emitted from Remus.

I can't get any sleep now can I?

I rolled over just to fall off of my bed. Bloody Hell! This is just not my day.

I looked over at Remus's bed, only to find Sirius asleep there. Weird.

I shook my head, waking up a little bit more, and went to shower and brush my teeth. When I was done, I decided to go to the Common Room.

I hummed jumping down the stairs, one by one, until I reached the bottom. I shook my still wet hair and went to sit down on the couch, only to find a sleeping Lily Evans on the couch. Remus was sleeping in one of the chairs. I woke Moony up.

"James, go away. It's a free day before the start of term, I want to sleep." He groans.

"Late night last night Remus?" I ask, trying to mask my jealousy that he even slept in the same room as Lily.

 "Yeah. Wait. I fell asleep in the Common Room? Damnit!"

"Maybe you should go to bed Remus, you're kinda grouchy. I'll go up there with you. Come on."

I helped Remus up, he was still half asleep, well, mostly asleep, and dragged him up the stairs, and pushed him into Sirius's bed, because Padfoot had stolen his.

I walked over to my bed and grabbed a blanket off of it, and grabbed my pillow, to take it downstairs to Lily. I figured she was cold, and she was shivering the last time I saw her. She didn't have a pillow either. I thought of going to get her stuff, but then I realized, I cant get in there.

I threw the blanket over my shoulder, and ran down the stairs to Lily.

She was awake.

"Good morning Lily." I say, turning to return my unneeded blanket and pillow back to my room.

"Morning, James." She mumbled, nearly incoherent. Lily turned to look at me, and saw that I was holding a pillow and blanket, "Why do you have those?" She asked.

"I saw that you were sleeping, and you didn't look very comfortable, and you also looked freezing, so I decided to go get my pillow and blanket so you could be more comfortable." I explained, blushing, because I sounded like a pansy.

"You're not too bad James." She yawned, stretching. Her red hair was tousled from sleep, and her green eyes were dark from sleep. She wore her robes from the day before. Even though she had just woken up, she looked beautiful.

"Thanks. Why don't you go take a shower, we have a busy day today, explaining things to first years and all. I'll fix the couch. Go on." I say, shooing her.

She smiles and goes up to her dorm, I couldn't help but to smile back at her.

Lily has changed me so much.

[Sirius's POV]

I awoke in Remus's bed. I must have drank too much firewhiskey last night. The headache I had supported that theory. I yawned and rubbed the sleep from my eyes.

I looked at my bed.

Remus was in it.

OhMyGod.

Remus is in my bed!

Yay!

Why am I so happy about this?

I need food.
