10 Things I Hate About You-Leah Kate
Luciano only leaves to go and give Basilio and Samantha the keys to their apartment, then he comes back.
"Hey." Luciano says. "What's up?"
"Nothing." I respond. "Do we stay here forever?""No." Luciano responds. "This is a temporary apartment; the house is still being renovated."
"Tell me what it's like," I say, "Being the Mafia boss."
"So fun." He says sarcastically. "I love my job; I totally would not trade this job out for anything in the world."
"Sure." I say. "Well, can I go to work with you?"
"Absolutely not." He says.
"Why not, scared of being shown up by a girl?" I ask him."No, I'm not." He says.
"Then why not?" I ask.
"The type of people I make deals with, they aren't the friendly type. Any opportunity they get to hurt something of mine, they'll take it." He explains. "And unfortunately, when they find out about you, you're on the kill list."
So now he is putting my life in danger. Lovely. What a nice guy, I totally don't want to rip out his guts and spill them on the floor.
I still hate him. For everything. I have over 100 things that I absolutely hate about him. I can't name every single one of them but the moment I saw him. I knew that he was trouble.
"Train me to kill." I say. "If I am to be your wife I'm supposed to protect myself in any situation, correct?"
"Would you like to make a deal, Princess?" He asks.
"Yes, I would." I say. "And don't call me princess."
"I'll call you whatever I want to call you, Princess, and there is nothing you can do about it." Luciano grins. Another reason why I hate him.
I walk over to the kitchen, I grab the sharpest knife and I walk back over to him. He smirks down at me. "You going to stab me, honey?"
"One, don't call me princess again." I growl, "And two. Don't underestimate me, again." I press the knife tip to his neck.
He doesn't give me a look of fear.
"You're not going to do it." Luciano grins. "If you had that much of a hatred for me, you would have stabbed me already."
"Don't think for one second that I don't hate you and everything you stand for." I hiss. I press the knife harder to his neck.
"You're a feisty little girl, aren't you?" Luciano keeps grinning at me.
"I am not a fucking little girl." I snap. I take the knife from his neck, holding it in my hand.
"What did I say about cursing?" Luciano asks."What did I say about calling me pet names?" I retort.
"You said to not call you Princess, not honey or little girl." Luciano catches me, raising a brow. "Didn't you say that?"
"Fuck you." I tell him."Gladly." He whispers seductively. I throw the knife at the counter, flipping him off as I storm back to my bedroom in embarrassment and annoyance. I can hear his laughter behind me from the kitchen.
I sit down on the bed, holding Poppy in my arms.
"Mom." I whisper, looking at the ceilings. The walls of the room are painted a cute baby blue, I have a large bed again. My own everything. "I'm sorry for everything you had to go through."
