It has been 3 months after the krangg invasion. The 3 oldest brothers have become more irritable except for Mikey, the youngest of the bunch. He tries to cheer his brothers up the best he can. He made chocolate chip pancakes for Leo, who devoured and heavily enjoyed them. He made actual chocolate chips cookies for Raph, who accepted them and patted Mikey on the head with a, 'Thank you'. Then Mikey made brownies for Donnie, who had his head down, asleep on his desk.
Mikey sat the plate of brownies near where Donnie was sitting, "Love you, bro."
As Mikey was walking towards the door, he looked over to one of Donnie's experiments. "One look won't hurt.."he told himself as he walked towards it.
As he looked at it more, he saw a paper on it saying, 'DO NOT TOUCH, ESPECIALLY YOU MIKEY!'. Mikey never knew how Donnie was always 100% sure that Mikey was the one that would touch it. Mikey turned around to walk out when he paused and looked back at it with second thoughts.
'No, I can't!', one half of his brain said.
'Come on. It's just one look! One look never hurt anybody.', the other half argued.
Mikey sighed as he was defeated by his own thoughts. He took the paper off and looked at the equipment. A beaker that held a weird blue liquid looked quite mesmerizing to Mikey. The little light that showed in the lab made the liquid gleam as if it were shiny. Metallic, even!
Mikey picked it up to see a closer look when it slipped from his hands and fell by his feet, shattering into little pieces and waking Donnie from his slumber.
"WHAT THE -" Donnie exclaimed in shock. Donnie looked over to see Mikey a few feet away from a shattered beaker with a puddle of metallic blue liquid around it.
"MIKEY! WHAT THE (S)HELL! I am positive, like 100% positive, that I left a note specifically saying to not touch it!", Donnie glared at Mikey with tired eyes.
Mikey nodded and then spoke up, "Well, Donnie, you know I am easily distracted. That liquid was so cool! I had to see it better!". Donnie shook his head and muttered, "Holy soup, why can't you just leave shit alone."
Mikey was stunned by the irritation while also wincing at his brothers hurtful words. "I'm sorry, bro. I didn't mean to -". Before Mikey could finish, Donnie interrupted him, "Whatever, just...get out.". Mikey sighed and nodded. As he walked out, he turned back to look at the brownies he left for Donnie, 'I hope he likes them.'
Mikey closed the door to Donnie's lab and walked to his room feeling really tired from all the baking he had done. The only thing though that kept running in his head was Donnie's words.
'Why can't you just leave shit alone.'
