I woke up. Sweaty and terrified. I looked around my room. My shoes were muddy and my head pounded. What did I do last night? My eyes fell on the white mask on my desk. How did that get there? I wore it to a masquerade ball last year.
The Argents always holds one and since we were dating I had to go. It was very posh and his family was uptight. Well everyone except Justin. He was nice and the three of us hung out all night.

This years masquerade ball was this Friday and maybe my mom thought that I was going again. I wasn't going and besides you need an invitation to get in, which I didn't have. Hunter is probably going with Inga(who I don't like, for obvious reasons).

My phone beeped twice.

Hi, meet me at Delight in an hour. :-)

The coffee shop wasn't that busy and I sat and waited at the booth in the corner, while Justin ordered our drinks.
He came back holding two chocolate milkshakes and a choc chip cookie. He sat across me and started munching on the cookie.

"I wanted to ask you something." He said after a while. "You know the masquerade ball is coming up and I wanted to know if you wanted to be my date?" I almost choked on my milkshake. He looked so sweet. His quiffed hair complimenting his blue puppy dog eyes. "Um... I don't know what to say." I said and ran my fingers through my hair. He bit his lip and stared at me. I wanted to go, but I don't want to let think that we can be more than just friends.
"Yeah, I'll go with you." I gave in to his gorgeous eyes. He smiled. "It's gonna be amazing. This year it's dedicated to Alison Orwell. She's in California now."

I frowned trying to figure out why Ali went to California. That's when it hit me. She had her mom's heart and she was living with her grandma. That's a story for another day.

I got home and I immediately went to my room. I closed the door behind me, when a card on my bed caught my attention. I opened it.

Quinn,
I hope you wear that beautiful dress on display at Harper's. I know it's a bit pricey, but I'm sure if you ask your date nicely, he'll buy it for you.

Look for me, I'll be your opposite and your worst nightmare.

Love,
Silver
