I couldn't believe what I saw. There was blood everywhere. I walked around the corner. What I saw was enough to make me scream. A body. Their body. I cried. I was heart broken.

Earlier that day

"This party is going to be awesome." Chanel said at lunch.
"Yeah, whatever." Valerie mumbled. She kept looking around like she was looking for someone.
Hunter rolled his eyes and sighed loudly.
"Are you sure that you're up to it?" Justin asked. I was to busy wondering what Valerie was looking at to answer him.
"Yeah, Justin. I'm fine. I'm a big girl, but I'm a even bigger jerk." Sam said imitating me. I managed to snap back to reality and gave her an annoyed look.
"Who holds a party on Friday the thirteenth anyway?" Hunter complained.
"You're girlfriend." Justin's replie came.
"Whatever." Hunter said.
"Have you guys seen Mrs. Matthew?" Valerie asked. Why was she looking for Emma?
"No, but you were being a bitch earlier." Chanel told her. Valerie gave her this look and Chanel immediately looked down and didn't say anything for the rest of lunch. That was the best example of why Valerie was the queen bee. She didn't have to say anything and you would know exactly what she wants.

Sam, Chanel and Valerie came over, so that we all can get ready for the party together. It was a costume party, so Chanel went as a gypsy, Sam as a punk and I went as a pirate. Valerie decided to reveal her true colours and went as the devil. She is better now that I got to know her, but it seems as if she knows all my secrets and I don't know anything about her.

The party was held at a cabin in the woods(cliché, I know). There was a massive bonfire and the music was really loud. Some drunk girls and guys were having fun in the bushes, while the others were trying not to fall in the fire. The real party was inside, where I was watching Chanel play a game of truth with Hunter. It's basically like truth and dare, but without the dare. She was trying to get him to cry by asking questions that involved his sexuality, but he didn't betray any emotions. Maybe if we hit him in the head he might forget that he is a man. After the game ended Chanel was the one in tears. I don't know what he asked, but it definitely hit a nerve.

It was Inga's turn to ask someone questions. She was dressed as the snow queen. She sat in the chair. "Quinn." She said. I looked at her and she just smiled. She motioned to the chair in front of her.
I sat down and stared into her ice cold eyes.
"If you lie, you're gonna be punished." She told me as a cruel smile spread across her face.
"I won't."
"What's the worst thing that you have done?" She just dove straight in, no hesitation. I couldn't tell her what I really did, so I have to lie, I just have to sound convincing.
"I stole." I told, that wasn't exactly a lie. I always took Sam's pencils.
"What?" She asked.
"No, it's my turn." I smirked. "Have you ever cheated on Hunter?"
"Yeah, I have." I glanced at Hunter to see his reaction and he just balled his fist. I looked at Inga and saw something in her eyes. Guilt. Point Quinn. The game isn't over until someone has a negative reaction towards a question. Inga was still controlling herself. She was going to be hard to break, I just hope that I won't break first.
"What did you steal?"
"Test answers. With who did you cheat?"
"With Valerie."
I wasn't expecting that. I glanced at Hunter and he was frowning. He was probably just as confused as I was. My eyes  found Valerie and she had no expression.
"What do you feel for Valerie?" She asked.
"I don't like her."
"You're lying to me. I think you need to be punished."

They sent me to the basement and I had to bring back something to be able to come out again. I grabbed the closest thing on the shelve, which was a doorhandle. I was about to leave when something on the wall caught my attention. I reached my hand out and I felt a wet substance on my fingers. The smell of metal made me queasy. I followed it around a corner and what I saw made me scream. I ran up stairs, crying. I fell through the door at Inga's feet.
"Had enough?" She asked and smiled menacingly.
I let out stifled cry.
"Hey, knock it off." Hunter told her.
"Hunter, it's not my fault that she's scared of the dark. I won."
"Quinn, what did you see?" He asked.
I looked up and locked eyes with Valerie. Her stern expression dropped to a more sympathetic one. She ran down to the basement and she was back again within a minute.
"Is this you're idea of some sick joke!?" She yelled.
Inga looked confused.
"What are you talking about? Inga asked.
"You really don't know? Their is a dead body in you're basement."
Inga sat down on the chair and calmly called the police.

I couldn't believe that she was dead and it happened while we were playing that stupid game. My best friend was murdered.
Sam was dead.
