Darkness Shall Rise

"This one-bedroom, one-half-bath is a cozy dream. Who needs extras when everything is in arm's reach? Now, wait until you see the lighting," Patty says. She turns on the light, but the bulb flickers, burns out, and falls to the ground. "Uh, who needs lights when you have this view? Heh." Opens the window blinds, but the view was actually a brick wall.

"Uh, why do I smell old people?" Lloyd asked and I chuckle.

"Yeah, this place stinks," I say. But we're gonna have to deal with it for a episode or two.

"Look, doll. I'm trying to work around your budget. This is all you can afford," Patty snaps at me annoyed. A little touchy isn't she?

"Uh, this looks...promising. Remember, guys, Sensei told us our main objective is to train Lloyd and Y/n, not kick our feet up in some swanky suite," Cole declares. "If this is all we can afford, this is all we can afford."

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, let's not rush into any decision. I mean, if it's really all about the kids, don't we need to live in some place that'll make training easier?" Jay asked.

"Yeah, Jay's right. If we have to get them ready to save Ninjago from Lloyd's father, shouldn't they at least have their own rooms?" Kai asked.

"Technically, that does not matter, he only-" Zane said before Kai gently punches him.

"We're only thinking about the children, hehe," Jay laughed.

"I do have another property that you'll just love," Patty says and she brings us to a fancy room atop a skyscraper.

"Whoa," we all say, this place looks cooler in first-person than on a TV screen.

"Oh man," Jay said as we walked in.

"Now, this is the eight-bedroom Hero Suite. Floor-to-ceiling windows, digital wall television, state-of-the-art game console..." Patty declared.

"Uh, it seems a little out of our price range," Cole declared.

"Oh, sure it costs a little more, but you deserve it. I forgot to mention, there's also a Dragon keep on the roof," Patty declared.

"Nice," Kai muttered.

"Maybe we can get a hero discount. After all, we are the ninja who saved the city," Jay declared and I laughed to myself.

"I thought Lord Garmadon saved the city?" Patty said. Jay looked at her annoyed.

"We could get day jobs to pay for the extra expenses," Kai declared.

"We always said we could use a little more responsibility," Zane said.

"But we have to train Lloyd and Y/n," Kai said.

"Did I mention the in-house training facility?" Patty asked and clicked a button on the remote that opened to a training room.

"We'll take it!"

This should be fun.

Lloyd hits the punching bag, but it swings back and knocks him over. While I get ice for Cole.

"My feet," Cole muttered. "I can't feel my feet."

"There were so many of them, and they wouldn't stop," Kai declared.
