After I fully ran away from Ayster and my home, I slept near the streets of everyplace I travelled. I really only spent money on food. But man, I did take my last name's luxury for granted.

I'm so glad that Beacon has showers.

After I took a shower and got dressed in my combat (and really my only outfit) a white cloak with black stripes. In the locker room which all of our weapons where stored.

My brass knuckles, hidden inside my cloak's pockets.

I yawned as Pyrr tapped my shoulder. Her gladiator-inspired outfit, and her spear and shield holstered behind her back. And... Weiss who was walking towards our direction.

"Pyrrha! It's been a while!" Weiss who skipped towards her. "How have you been?"

"I—um... uh.. good?"

"Fantastic. And..." her expression and attitude changed as soon as she saw me, "O'rs you... better not run away again. Coward."

"I... I won't. I've made my speech, I think I'm obligated to stay. Not to mention, I'll get what I want in exchange."

"What you... hey wait!" I walked out of the room.

"Ah, I'm pleased that you showed up, Kyuushou." Ozpin greeted me at the cliffs.

I take my spot on the launch pad, and sit crisscrossed on it. "Well, you found anything in her?"

"Trivia? Correct?"

"Y-Yes!" I jolted my attention to him.

"No... nothing so far."

I looked down, "damn it."

"What's so special about her?"

"I've... met her. Multiple times, back at the school before it shut down."

"Oh, a childhood friend."

"I wouldn't really say 'friends'. We just went through the same things." I looked at my hands.

"I see... Kyuushou when you do get the time, please tell me the rest."

"I... I'll try."

The students begin approach the cliff.

"Well, Uncle... you've got to your thing now. I'm not monologuing anymore."

"Don't worry I won't force you to."

As the remainder all step on the platform Ozpin clears his throat and recites his speech. "For years, you have trained to become warriors, and today, your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest."

Glynda who merely observed Uncle and I's talk followed up, "Now, I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of "teams." Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion. Each of you will be given teammates... today."

Hah? Teammates? I look at my Uncle, he simply smirks at my direction.

"These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon. So it is in your best interest to be paired with someone with whom you can work well. That being said, the first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years." Uncle continued.

Oh you little—

"After you've partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest. You will meet opposition along the way. Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path... or you will die. You will be monitored and graded through the duration of your initiation, but our instructors will not intervene. You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics. Each pair must choose one and return to the top of the cliff. We will regard that item, as well as your standing, and grade you appropriately. Are there any questions?"

"Yeah, um, sir?"

Jaune? I thought to myself as I stood up and wiped the dust off my butt.

Uncle ignored his hand and continued, "Good! Now, take your positions."

Everyone strikes a pose on their tile. Kyuushou grabbed her brass knuckles and loaded them into her fingers. While Yang raises her fists, Ruby readies her body, and Jaune is still raising his hand.

"Uh, sir? I've got, um... a question. So, this landing... strategy thing... Uh, wha-what is it? You're, like, dropping us off or something?"

"No. You will be falling..."

I erased all of my thoughts and the surrounding noise (primarily Jaune) and activated Imperfect Appraisal.

"I'm ready"

"Possible Outcomes?"
