Despite Hao's stubbornness, Hanbin was right; everything felt okay and normal, although Hanbin seemed to be acting extra kind this time. For example, he opened the car door for Hao, closed it, helped Hao with his seatbelt, and even carried Hao's (extremely light) bag for him. Even though it felt odd, Hao was still grateful for how much effort Hanbin was found to be putting into this date to make sure it was as good as it could be.
"Oh, wow," was all Hao could say as he walked into the bowling alley, hand in hand with Hanbin. "Why does this look like the club?" he questioned, referring to the flashing patterned lights that were scattered all around the area. "It's silly, though, I like it."
Hanbin snorted at Hao's comments, patting his back with his free hand. "Well, I'm glad you like it, then." He smiled, taking Hao over to the front counter.
It would be an understatement to say that Hao didn't feel ridiculous in the oddly shaped bowling shoes he and Hanbin were made to wear; they were an unflattering colour too. Hanbin, who was very much aware of Hao's sentiment, teased him about it at any possible moment.
