I think it's important because they almost died and some did die for your freedom and your country, you should honor their service. Some families have soldiers that died and some who lived to tell their story, in my family I have a grandpa who served in the vietnam war he was a national guard, I also have a great uncle who my older brother is named after he was a chef, a mechanic, anything they needed him for he lived through the war but he died from cancer years later. I don't know much but my brother said that my grandpa loves overcooked hot dogs now because of the war, but all I know is that my grandpa is a hero in my eyes and that's all that matters. If you have a veteran in your family tell them thank you, they deserve it. Make sure to show that your a proud American because your grandpa, grandma, dad, mom, uncle, aunt who ever they are they served for your country and survived. I have three men in my family who served two died but one is still alive and can tell their stories. Thank you for listening.
