A few days had passed, and nini was yet to continue with the advice her moms had given to her that she promised to use. She had come close to calling Ricky about thirteen times, and had almost texted him nineteen times. Today was the day she would tell him, she could tell. Although, that's what she told her self every other day.
For some reason, she had attachment to the forming baby in her stomach. Her parents had discussed adoption, but Nini immediately shut it down. She knew she wanted this baby, no matter what. But somewhere in her heart she knew that a main reason was because she had a slither of hope Ricky would want to have this baby with her.

Ricky was confused as hell. Every time he tried to come up with a solution, he couldn't reach one. He just couldn't figure out why his ex girlfriend nearly texted him a good twenty times. Moreover, he wondered why every time she almost did, he was disappointed when those three little bubbles disappeared. Did he want her to reach out? He couldn't tell. He's had other girlfriends after. Two to be exact. The first one cheated on him because she said she could tell he was using her as a distraction. She claimed that although he never talked about his ex, he still had photos of her and old Christmas gifts. Every time she asked about it, she could tell he was in love. Not with her, with whoever the girl in the frame was. Ricky pretended she was crazy, and used the fact that cheating is inexcusable and just wrong to cover another fact. That she was right. Of course, he was upset about being cheated on, but they had only dated for a couple months. He hadn't grown attached. The second girl, well he didn't have an excuse for how that ended. It started small, the girl noticed how he never deleted the photos of him and his ex. She questioned it and he explained how they'd been best friends since kindergarten so it was more sentimental and very much platonic. She didn't say anything, but she could tell he was convincing himself more than her. After that, it only went downhill. He refused to take down photos, talked about this famously known Nini all the time and at one point, accidentally called his girlfriend at the time, Nini. The girl became very aware he wouldn't let go of this other girl any time soon, and ended things. That breakup hurt. One, they had dated for 8 months. Two, he had finally come to terms of this longing he was feeling.
He was still in love with Nini. He couldn't deny it anymore. It was a truth he'd known for a while. His problem was, he knew he wouldn't fall out of love. He couldn't. So every time he would looked through old messages and see three little bubbles come up, he thought she felt the same. And every time they disappeared, he thought she was either drunk, dared or he wasn't sure what else. But the more it happened, the more worried he got. It couldn't just be a coincidence twenty times in the span of five days . She couldn't have been drunk or dared that much in so little time, right? What was so important that she needed to tell him but couldn't. He knew she was never the best at communicating, but clearly considering how they aren't even on speaking terms, something was most definitely wrong.
