"Sorry I arrived late master Katara. I was a little distracted Dulce." Alexis says as she comes running over to Katara as she is talking to a woman.
"It's alright. You know I told you though that you do not have to call me master anymore. You are a master yourself now. A rather unique one too that I was grateful to have as a student. You've been a large help to Katara." Katara says.
"You must be the wolf shifter I heard about here." A girl asks as she comes over causing Alexis to look at her.
"Yes but my name is Alexis. Who are you?" Alexis asks curiously.
"Alexis these are my grandchildren Jinora, Ikki, and Meelo along with my son Tenzin and his wife Pema." Katara says as Alexis bows respectfully to the family.
"I'm pleased to meet all of you." Alexis says as she watches Korra talking with Tenzin before playing with the kids in wolf form.
*Timeskip*
Later at night as Alexis is sleeping she soon wakes up seeing she is on Dulce's back while Dulce is running beside Naga with Korra on her back.
"What the heck is going on!?" Alexis asks annoyedly as Korra looks at her.
"Oh good. You're awake. Also keep it down." Korra says as Alexis looks at her.
"Where are we even going?" Alexis asks as she sits up and sees all her stuff is packed in her saddle on Dulce.
"After Tenzin. We're going to Republic City." Korra says happily as Alexis looks at her curiously.
"What does Katara even think of this? I thought you were going to wait for Tenzin on your training." Alexis says.
"Yeah well change of plans. As far as Katara well she agreed it was time for me to leave. Just the only condition was you leaving with me. She actually figured that I was going to leave and had Dulce along with your stuff ready to go. I just had to get you on Dulce's back." Korra says.
"Did you even try to wake me?" Alexis asks in annoyance.
"Yes." Korra says.
"Korra." Alexis says as she looks at Korra disbelievingly.
"Okay no I didn't but look at it this way. Two best friends who are like sisters off on an adventure together. It'll be fun. Just like old times." Korra says.
"You couldn't of waited until morning for this?" Alexis asks tiredly.
"Nope." Korra says as Alexis sighs.
"Fine Korra. You win. Just let me sleep though. I love being a night person but even I have to sleep eventually. Besides I know there's no arguing with you when your mind is set on something." Alexis says as she lays down on Dulce's back.
"Glad to have you on board." Korra says happily.
*Timeskip*
"What is it Dulce? Huh? Where's Naga and Korra. Of for the love of pete. Korra you better be okay when I find you. come on girl." Alexis says as she takes off out of the boat on Dulce after Dulce nudging her awake and seeing Korra and Naga are gone. Not long after running through the city Alexis stops seeing Tenzin.
"Alexis how did you get here?" Tenzin asks.
"Korra." Alexis says bluntly.
"Well now I know what the disruption of the peace is about." Tenzin says as he sighs.
"Disruption of peace? Oh geeze. What did Korra get herself into?" Alexis asks as Tenzin looks at her.
"I'll deal with you later. Go to the animal pound and wait there. Naga is being held there. So do not go anywhere else. It's not far from here. Just a bit up the street. I'll meet you there after I get Korra." Tenzin says.
"Yes Tenzin. Come on Dulce." Alexis says as she takes off on Dulce's back.
*Timeskip*
"Tenzin please don't send us back home." Korra says as she is standing with Tenzin.
"You both blatantly disobeyed my wishes and the orders of the White Lotus." Tenzin says as Alexis walks over with Dulce.
"Technically she did. I just got dragged along for the ride." Alexis says as Korra looks at her.
"Katara agreed with me that I should come but mostly agreed if Alexis came along. She said my destiny is in Republic City." Korra says.
"Don't bring my mother into this!" Tenzin says as he gets visibly red with anger.
"Look I can't wait any longer. Being cooped up and hidden away from the world isn't helping me become a better avatar. I saw a lot of the city today and it's totally out of whack. I understand now why you need to stay. Republic City does need you but it needs me too. And Alexis will be here too so if you ever need someone to fill in for you with me I'm sure she wouldn't mind. After all she can airbend extremely well and is fairly spiritual." Korra says.
"Please don't volunteer me for things Korra. I love you. You're like a sister to me. But you said you wouldn't do that anymore after the last incident. I don't mind to help but still don't volunteer me like that." Alexis says as Korra looks at her before at Tenzin.
"So Tenzin?" Korra asks as Tenzin tries to find his words.
"Is this your polar bear dog miss?" The man asks as he brings over Naga who licks his face.
*Timeskip*
"Korra! Alexis!" The kids shout as they fly over on their gliders.
"Are you coming to live with us on the island?" Ikki asks happily as she and Jinora hug Korra.
"I'm sorry Ikki." Alexis says as she gives a slightly sad look.
"No we won't be coming to live with you. I'm sorry but we have to go home now." Korra says as she and Alexis begin walking towards the ship with Naga and Dulce.
"Wait. I have done my best to guide republic city towards the dream my father had for it. But you are right. It has fallen out of balance since he has passed. I thought I should put off your training in order to uphold his legacy but you are his legacy. You both may stay here and you may learn airbending training from me. Republic City needs its avatar once again." Tenzin says as he comes over before Korra smiles.
"Yes! Thank you. You're the best!" Korra says as she hugs Tenzin, Alexis, and the kids.
