The next day we left Milwaukee at about 6:30am and met up with FUN. in Mauston. We arrived at there hotel at 9:47am exactly. It took a bit longer than expected because Joe needed to take a few 'potty brakes' on the way. The stupid bathroom on the bus is broken because of some people named Pete, who 'dropped' a roll of toilet paper into the toilet, then 'accidentally' flushed it.
As we piled off the bus we looked up at the hotel that was above an abandoned saloon. "Well that's not creepy..." Said Andy sarcastically. We walked in and through the saloon. An older lady approached us and said, "Do you kneed a hotel room? There's a 50% discount today only! If you want a clean one its only fifteen bucks!" She sounded like she'd been smoking since the day she was born. "Uh... No we're just here to pick up some friends." Pete said politely.
She started hobbling away when Joe stopped her again. "Ma'm? Can you direct us to the second floor?" He asked. "Go down that hallway then take a left. You'll see a ladder there and that leads up to the second floor." She replied. "Thank you!" Said Patrick.
We walked into the dark hallway that was lit only by a small window. "Patrick, stay close to me... I-I'm s-scared." I said shakily. "It's ok babe, I'll protect you." He said nervously. I was probably squeezing the crap out of his arm, but I was about to pee my pants. That place was fucking scary.
We climbed up the ladder and walked through the single hallway. Half of the rooms didn't even have doors, and if they did they probably had bullet holes or knives in them. "Nate, Andrew, Jack? Are you guys here?" Pete called. "Yeah, we're here!" Andrew called back. We walked past a room with only a sheet hanging from the door frame. Guess who's that was? Yeah, Nate's room.
"Pretty nice place you got here..." Joked Patrick. "No kidding." Replied Jack. "So, uh, is your bus fixed?" Continued Patrick. "Yeah, it's fixed and ready to go!" Replied Nate. "Alright let's head out in the road, again." Said Joe. "Woah, woah, woah... Can we at least stop at McDonald's first?" Pete whined. Patrick sighed. "Yeah I guess. Are you guys hungry?" Patrick asked Andrew. "Yeah." He said. "We're gonna go to McDonalds, I don't know where you're going but if you wanna follow us that's fine." Said Joe.
We were at that scary hotel for about an hour, and we wanted food.
We got to the restaurant, then Andy realized that Marcus wasn't with us anymore. "Uhh... Guys?" "Yeah Andy." Patrick responded. "Where's Marcus?!" "Wait! We lost Marcus?!" Yelled Pete. "I'm gonna go call him..." Said Pete running back on the bus. "Is there something wrong?" Asked Lewis, our bus driver. "Umm... Lets just say that we accidentally forgot Marcus in Milwaukee..." Said Pete.
Patrick, Andy, Joe, and I went inside and ordered, while Andy found us a seat. Andy didn't want to waste money so he brought his own lunch.
Pete ran in and told us where he was. "His wife was in labor so he had one of his buddies go and pick him up and take him to the hospital that she was in. He said that he left a note in the dressing room, but I didn't see it." Just then Patrick got a call from Brendon Urie from Panic! At The Disco. "Hey Brendon, what's up? Oh ok... Yeah we kinda just figured that put... Ok, thanks... Bye." Said Patrick. "Brendon found the note in his dressing room..." "Nice goin' Marcus." Said Pete sarcastically.
The cashier finally called our order number so we could eat. We were on a pretty tight budget so some of us had to share food. Me and Patrick shared a 20 piece McNugget meal, Joe and Pete shared a 40 piece McNugget meal, and Andy had his own food.
I noticed that Andy glanced past my shoulder a few times. "Is that...?" He mumbled under his breath. He lifted his sunglasses so that they rested on the top of his head and squinted, looking over my shoulder once more. I finally looked back and there was a man at the pop machine, filling his cup. I saw that he had a Green Bay Packers jersey on, with a big number 12 on the back. "Hmm." I said.
"I think that's Aaron Rodgers!" Exclaimed Andy, who was now fangirling. As he got up from his seat I asked, "Uhhh... Andy, Where are you going?" "I'm going to get his autograph, duh!" He replied sassily.
He walked over as he was turning to go and sit at his table. "Um. H-hi!" Andy managed to stutter out. "C-c-can I have an autograph?" "Yeah, sure!" He agreed to sign Andy's matching jersey, and a piece of paper that he took from Joe. "Who is this for?" Aaron asked. "Uh, Andy, Andy Hurley." Replied Andy. "Hey are you the drummer from Fall Out Boy?" He asked. "Y-Yeah." "Hey, I love your music!" Aaron complemented. "Wow, thanks!" Exclaimed Andy. He gave Aaron a hug then walked away.
He came back to the table and showed me the note that he gave him. "I love your music, and what you do. Keep doing what you're doing. Thanks for being a fan! ~Aaron Rodgers #12" Andy was literally shaking! I could tell that he was a huge fan of the Packers.
"What was that all about?" Asked Patrick. "That was Aaron fucking Rodgers! He's the quarterback for the Green Bay Packers!" He responded. "What the hell is he doing in Mauston?" Asked Pete. "I don't know but I'm glad he was!" Said Andy excitedly.
