The night surrounds the passage next to the highways, only visible thanks to vehicle headlights. A modern SUV drove at a good pace while the light opened into the abyss on Friday night."I hope this car will suffice; it was the only one available on short notice," Momo said in a worried tone, while in the co-pilot seat.
Todoroki's hands firmly gripped the steering wheel as he glanced at her."I like it." he simply said.
Jirou who was messing around with her ukulele. "It's really cool, I could fit all my instruments here." she commented, her eyes flicking to the spacious rear of the SUV.
"It would even be perfect to go on a camping trip, don't you think so Izuku?" Mina said, leaning on his shoulder. Her words were accompanied by a warm smile.
"Y.. yeah.. it would be perfect."
And it wasn't a lie, the vehicle was one of Japan's latest models, take that with the fact that the green haired hero rarely goes on car rides, this seemed like a piece of art on wheels. The Yaoyorozu family's prominence was evident in their access to cutting-edge models ahead of the public release. Hatsume should get to see this, she would love to get this inside her workshop.
...
The Yaoyorozu family beach house seemed majestic, being completely made of wood in a rustic style, but with all of the necessities with the exception of the internet, in the background you could see a small greenhouse, a cozy campfire area, and a pier with a moored speedboat added to the allure of the property.
While the girls went downstairs and enjoyed the mesmerizing view of shimmering lights and the moonlit ocean, Izuku and Todoroki took charge of lowering the luggage.
"I'm glad you decided to join us, Midoriya." He said while grabbing the cooler.
Izuku carefully unpacked Mina's luggage, his expression warm. "Thanks for inviting me."
"I see you to be in a better mood lately ever since..."
"You think?"
"Yes, and I don't believe I am the only one to notice, is it due to something in particular?"
Izuku leaves the luggage in the living room to return next to Todoroki. "I had to move on, even though it still hurts. It was about time I got back on my feet."
The young hero didn't really know how he felt, his life until now hasn't changed with the exception being the frequent visits to the support workshop for the past three weeks. His training sessions were less physically demanding but hadn't shown much progress. his appetite had come back and his mood was getting better. He would have the moments where he would go back to the moment where it went wrong, it was then where he pulled himself out of the darkness, with the idea that hopefully time would make the pain hurt a little bit less.
Both of them left the final piece of luggage inside and opted for a midnight walk along the frigid lakeside. They strolled in companionable silence, entranced by the serene scenery. The moon's reflection danced elegantly on the lake's surface, casting a silvery glow. It was in this tranquil moment that a pair of piercing bi-colored eyes shifted their gaze to the green-haired hero.
"She has been sneaking him in the dorms at night." he simply said out of the blue.
Izuku's eyes reacted to the sudden news, a familiar feeling in his throat came back.
"I know it could be tough but..." Todoroki was cut off.
Midoriya met his gaze. "As a hero we're going to have to be outside our comfort zone right? My dream was always to become a hero, and it stings but I'm going to have to learn to deal with my personal issues. Leave her behind to move forward."
