The sun barely appeared. People around started to fill the empty streets, the city slowly becoming crowded as the morning progressed. The train gave this kind of view at this time. It's been only a few minutes since Midoriya had been standing in the train and for a while, he never felt the need to collapse like today. His extremities feeling heavy, bloodied knuckles. His clothes being in similar conditions, once being a red jersey with plus ultra printed on it and a black sweatpants he wore the day before.
The suffering and sacrifice of his strength and body, became a routine of his. But this time he took things too far.
The rock succumbed to the impacts of One for All, one after another, his tears couldn't suffocate his rage and sadness in his heart.
Slowly his arms started to give up, One for All started to deactivate with each hit. But it still wasn't enough, it came until the point where Midoriya was punching with his bare fists. The pain he felt at the end was nothing compared to the pain she had left in his heart.
"Hey kid..." Midoriya snapped out of his head, still gripping on the cold metal bar. He turns his head to see an elderly man sitting down in front of him "Is everything alright?" His voice was calm but was clearly worried.
"Uhh I..I'm fine." Midoriya barely had the mind power to be fully present at this moment, not even moving an inch in his facial expressions.
"Just by seeing your hands I can tell you have an amazing quirk, what a shame that you decide to use it so recklessly," The man takes a deep sigh, his look suddenly turning into disappointment and disgust. "What a damn waste."
The train stopped in its tracks, The man stood up as it was his time to leave. Midoriya stood there, facing towards the window while looking at nothing in particular, his words were on repeat in his head, his words not fazing him, there was nothing he could have said that he hadn't already said to himself a million times.
...
Midoriya was walking through the busy hallway, now having changed into his uniform. Both his walk and his gaze showed more insecurity than usual with a slight touch of disinterest, a feeling that his mother also shared, not even bothering starting a conversation that morning. His presence felt forced more than anything, and he hated that feeling, hated the fact that he couldn't appreciate how beautiful life is and how lucky he is to be in this position. Instead he saw with certain discontent and bitter taste the immense facilities of UA, almost as if it were a slow inevitable sentence. All he could say, quietly and almost unnoticed.
"Damn it..."
Upon arriving at his classroom, a section of his classmates were already at their desks, some formed groups that would talk before class started, Bakugou being the exception, limiting himself to sit and wait until class starts.
"Good morning Midoriya." Iida said, doing his characteristic movements with his arms.
"Good morning." His voice showed no signs of emotion, just emptiness.
Iida didn't seem to notice his lifeless answer, "Hurry up and take a seat, class is about to start." he stated. "Have you seen Uraraka lately? I have noticed that she's being distant."
A chill, accompanied by an unpleasant and stinging sensation in his stomach, he has an idea of her sudden absence they had been witnessing lately. "I could think of a couple reasons."
Without waiting for an answer, Izuku went to his desk, where he places his things and simply sits down to rest his face on the table to meditate a bit, wishing that the scene from yesterday night at his mothers house would disappear in his mind. But without knowing it, a group of friends were talking about him a few meters away.
