𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐃 - 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐝 𝐱 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫

A females voice begins to speak, "what makes you think she isn't?" You recognize it as Emily's voice.

"Well, you saw what happened the other day, and I saw her arms today, and they're covered in bruises like all over. When I asked y/n about it, she became uncomfortable and brushed it off.
I have a feeling something bad is going on," Spencer admits.

"If something bad was going on wouldn't you think she'll tell us?" Emily points out.

"But-" Spencer tries to protest, but is interrupted by a new voice you haven't yet heard.

"I did see y/n crying the other day, but Emily's right, we don't know for sure anything is going on, and if there is and it's bad. she'll ask us for our help." The voice reasons and you realize it was JJ's voice.

"Crying? When was y/n crying?" Spencer questions, sounding confused.

You felt like it was time to stop it, you walk over and try to act surprised when you see them, "oh hey guys, what are you talking about?" You wondered.

JJ is quick to come up with a lie, "we were thinking about maybe going to the bar later, wanna come?" She asks sweetly.

You knew she wasn't telling the truth, which made you smile because you know what they were actually talking about. "I don't know.." you shrugged.

Emily interjects, "Come on, it'll be fun." She pressured. Weird how they want you to go to plans they just made up on spot.

You know you couldn't go anyway, "I can't, I'm sorry." You whispered somewhat sadly.

Spencer asks, "Why not?" without hesitation.

Emily tries to stop him, but it's too late, you just shrugged and made up an excuse, "I'm really tired," which, surprisingly, wasn't a total lie.

JJ opens her mouth to speak, but you cut her off before she could. You frown and shake your head, "look guys, I would love to, but I'm exhausted, I might think about it," you murmur before walking away so they can't push any further, you weren't going at all you just wanted to end the conversation.

You stroll over to Penelope's office to say goodbye, "hey pen," you say as you open the door.

When she sees you, she smiles brightly. She swiftly rises up to give you the largest hug, making you laugh. "It took you forever to come and visit me, I missed you," she pouts as she speaks. 

You laugh when her hair accessory pokes you in the eye, so you pull away and give her a look, "pen, I literally just saw you a few hours ago"

She dramatically rolls her eyes. "Wow, okay, so I can't miss my best friend?" She questions.

"Pen I-" she cut you off as she put her hand in your face, basically telling you to stop.

"You know what, don't talk to me," she jokes.

You and Penelope made a lot of jokes like this, so you weren't worried and didn't think she was genuinely upset.

"Yeah okay, well I have to go home, love you," you tell her.

She frowns sadly, "okay, love you too"

Penelope stops you on your way out, "y/n are you going to club with us later, you will be the only one other than hotch and Rossi that won't go, you will feel left out if you don't" she says, attempting to get you to want to go.

You were shocked because you thought JJ made that lie up on the spot, but what surprised you even more was the fact Spencer was going, because he rarely goes to bars.

Your brow furrows "Is Spence coming?" You ask curiously.

She beams when she hears you bring up Spencer. She knows you're with Brad, but she doesn't care, she's always have shipped you and him, it didn't even make sense to you because you and Spencer are just friends.
