Name: Anahita Sharma Daughter of Rohit and the late Siksha Sharma. Mr. Sharma is a self-made businessman who made his way from nothing to everything. In the small town of Moradabad, he came a long way to establish his firm. Late Mrs. Sharma was a strong lady of morals and traditions. A homemaker who was the best mother one could ask for. Having gone through a war with diseases to bring the younger son into this world and coming as a winner, made her the inspiration for Anahita. But Alas!!! The family lost her 4 years after. Leaving 14-year-old Anahita and 4-year-old Svayam motherless in this world. The family now has 5 members, Lakshmi Sharma, Anahita's grandmother, and her full-time support. She is the rock of her granddaughter's life. After her father, Anahita loves her grandmother to bits. All of her life is like an open book in front of her grandmother. If you ask Anahita to describe her grandmother in one word, the word would be Strength. Married at the early age of 18 years, her grandmother held the family to this day. With 4 children everything whether the marriages of two daughters or her elder son's startup or her younger one starting a new life from zero and reaching the point of success, it's all credited to one person Lakshmi. She held the family after the passing of her elder daughter-in-law, Lakshmi was the person who take complete care of the two children. That's why she is Anahita's partner in crime. Misha Sharma was the daughter of a family friend of Sharma's. She shadow-supported Rohit the most in being a single father to a confused teenager and a questioning child. From planning the birthday parties for the children when their father was busy maintaining a business to helping Anahita in her 10th board. She left a well-established career to look after the family and support the business. She and Anahita have a cordial relationship. There are disagreements, fights for acceptance, understanding of being a girl of the generation, and also there are teasings like a sister. Anahita couldn't accept her as a mother which was obvious the fact of seeing her mother for fourteen years, she can't give her place to anyone but she respected her for being so strong and like a wall of support to her father...... maybe that's why she was jealous of her also because even after trying, she can't give that support to her father. So she now calls her didi, I know it's odd but she used to call her that before marriage, and now it's kinda stuck. Svayam Sharma, Anahita's younger brother by 10 years. They have a typical brother-and-sister relationship. Svayam being 9 is enthusiastic, carefree, and obsessed with cricket where as Anahita is mostly quiet, minding her own business, a bookworm, and an overthinker, bickering is all you can get from this duo. But there is care for each other, things that no one can make Svayam do, Anahita can make him do. He loves her elder sister even if she is purposely singing in a bad loud voice to make him leave the room, telling him that he is adopted or calling him an idiot. He takes her side even unknowingly to many things that kids of his age don't understand. Anahita never broke a promise kept to him, she always cares for him. Can't see him crying. Many times when Svayam is sad due to losing a match of cricket or being made fun of by his friends, She is the one by his side. That's where a beautiful relationship of trust is built. Rohit is someone Anahita can never leave behind. Always being a daddy's girl, he knows where she can fall and how to pick her up but a long untied string of communication cost them to misunderstanding each other on several occasions. In Anahita's development as a young adult and the generation gap being created, they felt like outcasts in each other's lives. But this to didn't stop them From being the perfect father-and-daughter duo. She is always in support of him and would do anything for him as he would. Everyone is aware of the fact that she is his number one priority. As he is her's The protagonist of the story is Anahita Sharma, a normal teenager of the generation. She is an old soul, in the times of tik-toks and social media, she believes in talking......her Mantra communication is the key. She is a family girl yet far away from it. She doesn't have many friends, 4 to be exact but everyone knows she would listen if you talk. She has two faces - one that is in front of everyone, a blunt, sarcastic, lively, humorous little innocent girl, and the face only some people know is of a person who is mature, a romantic, a listener who is confused and heartbroken, who wants to trust but is scared to do so. She hides her emotions because she just doesn't know how to express them. Music and dancing are her remedies. Books are her escape. She wants someone to understand her, to take her away but she doesn't want to have yet another heartbreak. She never liked someone.....maybe doesn't know how to. Never felt something those books tell her. The only person who knows about her being a romantic is her best friend Aisha Agarwal. They both have a crazy friendship. Anahita didn't even get to know when she got closer to this new girl in the 11th class. Both are similar yet different in their ways of life. In short, they make each other complete. They know everything about each other. It's fascinating to see only a phone call talk can make such a beautiful friendship. Aisha or Ishu as everyone calls her only knows Anahita for 2 years but understands her more than anyone did. The same goes for Anahita, when Aisha's parents divorced she couldn't help but be there for her. Anahita loves and respects Aisha a lot but sssh! Don't tell her. When Aisha's mother moved to Mumbai after the divorce, they both were sad but they made the long-distance friendship work. Now the crazy duo got admission into the same college St. Xavier's Mumbai and promises of the best life flowed. Now the present life is the time before starting college. Soon college is starting and the small-town girl has to step forward into a big city far away from her family to build herself up. There would be a whole new world without, that she has to face. Let's see what this world would bring.
