9.00 am "Siddharth!!!!! We are leaving!! Take care and have breakfast soon...and please try and go for your college shopping with Adi" Mom told me from the door. Today is Sunday, the last one before college, okay not technically but the next one will come with the anxiousness of the next day. Mama and Dad just left for the hospital. And the agenda for today is College Shopping......Yaay!!!! So exciting... No, a big No! I hate shopping. It's just too much. Especially with Adi i.e. my cousin. We are of the same age that's why we are mostly together. He is going to a different college to study hotel management. He is an enthusiastic fellow, always up to something. Can't sit quietly even for a second. But he is the only one that I can talk to without hesitation at least. I have been on my own since childhood. It's not like my parents don't love me or anything but being doctors come with a price of its own. Many times family nights were cut short due to an emergency. Now don't get me wrong, I am proud of them. But sometimes you feel it, you know when you are sitting at the dining table all alone or when they are late to PTMs. I got used to it being on my own. It made me independent. And come to think of it, it's our generation's problem livin' in the big city, parents want to give every luxury to children, and to get it, they forget the most important one......their time. Ohhh! Leaving the senti talks. Going to the mall is a good idea, I do need to look into new models of computers, I need a new one. The ringing of a phone!! " Do you have any idea how late we are?"
