The day started real bad, and I'm not looking forward to the rest of it. After having the little chit-chat with Alexie, I think I should've kept my mouth shut.
I've been informed that there's a really important meeting today at the pakhan's house, and all of the guards have to be on full alert as many important people will be present.
It's no surprise that the bravta deals in illegal businesses and therefore the pakhan chose a bunch of best men to deal with different side of business.
The whole of finance and information about anything and everything is dealt by Viktor Volkov, and trust me when I tell you that this man is dangerous, he has all the possible information about everybody and experts in blackmailing people, in the bravta he is considered just as important as the pakhan.
The arms and ammunition are managed by Demitri Sokolov, he is a ruthless motherfucker and more strong than a bear maybe. He trains his soldiers mercilessly and is evil to the core.
The international business and all the legitimate businesses that the bravta has, are run by Lev Ivanov. He generally stays quiet and observes everything. He and Viktor are same in some manner I guess.
Then there's Kyle and he is the advisor of the bravta, he is calm and never loses to anybody.
All of these people are going to be here today, I know for sure that they are discussing something really important or else they wouldn't be meeting in person.
Vlad informs me that I'll be guarding meeting room from inside. When it's time, everybody comes and takes their seats, they all start discussing something about the Italians and shit, and just like that an hour passes by.
After the meeting everybody is invited to dinner, just then Demitri speaks, "Is this fragile little thing supposed to protect the pakhan?". I was already in a bad mood and then he went ahead and said it, "I think I can hold my own, you worry about yourself sir."
"You little fucking-" starts Demitri, but the pakhan says "Enough." And just like that everybody falls silent. I on the other hand am very happy that the fucker Demitri had to shut up.
As everybody heads to the dining room, I am stopped as Alexie says "You wait here miss Sato." Ummm, did he just call me by my last name? I think he did. I didn't think it was in my file or anything.
After everyone leaves, I steal a glance at Alexie, and he's looking directly at me. The staring contest lasts about 2 minutes, but I start feeling uncomfortable so I break the silence and say "will you say anything?"
"Hmmm." What? hmm? Is that all?
"You work for me miss Sato, that means you follow my orders, now tell me, did I give you the permission to speak to Demitri?".
"No."
"But you did it anyways didn't you?" I remain quiet, I'm scared now to be honest.
"Come here." He says. I shake my head.
"I.SAID.COME.HERE." He speaks in a low voice. OMG, I think I'm in trouble.
When I still don't move, he stalks towards me in slow steps, before I know what he's doing, he's holding me by my throat. This is the first time he's touched me, and I feel like my whole body's on fire.
"You will never defy me do you understand?" He says. It's more of a statement than a question really. He puts more pressure when I don't answer, so I nod, "Use your words miss Sato, now do you understand?". "Y-Yess."
He releases me abruptly, and leaves the room, and I'm thinking what the fuck just happened.
