Dawn broke and the blue hedgehog peered into the cupboard upstairs. The sight of the two teenagers huddled together made him smile. He could hear them last night, trespassing on his property and hiding in the wardrobe.
It amused him.
To see a version of Amy and Shadow in this timeline; so alike to the ones from his original timeline and yet so different. These were younger. Happier. Shadow's arms were around Amy protectively and she looked snug in his sleepy embrace. He smiled. She reminded him of his Ames and a moment he shared with her, not quite unlike this, while their world was ending and they clung to each other for comfort.
He carefully shut the door and walked away.
He had saved his world. Yet, he had to pay the price. The people he loved and the time he belong to were gone.
Lost forever.
Notes:
This has happened after Sonic Unleashed. Sonic has saved the world from Dark Gaia but unfortunately has been trapped in an alternative time line where he doesn't exist.
Chip has conjured him a home where he can spend his werewolf form undisturbed by the common folk.
