Almost three days of rest for the week had arrived, thus beginning with a fresh and calm Friday morning. Aerin couldn't feel more grateful to her job and boss every time her eyes opened on a Saturday morning, or even after noon, meeting the darkness of her room that was slightly illuminated by a small purple lamp. She actually hated the dark but she couldn't sleep in any overly bright light either so Seokjin's gift had been a perfect help.

He was quite useful to her younger sister when he didn't involve her in difficult promises, such as her babysitting on a Saturday night.

Just thinking about it made her irritated with the man but at the end of the day she couldn't let go of the happiness it gave her to see baby Eunchae again, for she turns out to be a lovely sweetness that even makes her wish she had children.

Something called "baby fever", which is actually quite dangerous.

"No Mom, of course I'm not smoking at this hour, do you think I'm a mobster or something?" The brunette scoffed as she prepared her breakfast, using one hand to hold the spatula while the other brought her cigarette to her lips to take a puff. Of course she was guilty of telling lies to her beautiful mother, who was far away, but she knew that if she told her the truth she would have her at her door. "Did you get the money? I sent it to you a few days ago but you never texted me anything."

"Yes, sweetheart, but I told you it's not necessary, you and your brother send me money like I don't run a cafe." Mrs. Kim sighed and let her concern be known in her tone, even if it was sometimes hard to deduce the emotions of the person on the other end of the line. "I'm fine, okay? You guys should use that money for other things like... I don't know, travel, clothes, luxuries, whatever you feel like."

"I don't need a lot of things, Mom, I already have what I want and even if I send you money I won't be poor." She scoffed after the smoke left her lips. "I have a good job now, I don't worry about money anymore so just accept it and buy what you like, okay?"

"Okay okay, I just can't beat you guys, right? You two are impossible to convince." Mrs. Kim sighed heavily after practically scolding her daughter who just smiled in amusement, her eyes giving a quick glance at the phone lying on the kitchen counter next to the stove. "By the way, how are you doing there? Seokjinie tells me you're looking much better. Is everything going well? Are they treating you well at your job? Isn't it dangerous? Rinie, I don't want you to suffer more than before or work in a dangerous environment."

Mrs. Kim never failed to show her concern for her only two children whenever she communicated with them.

Talking to her was like giving a report at work, giving updates on their lives to the woman who brought them into the world and has cared for them for years. It was something that made Aerin feel warm, for she always missed her mother but being able to talk to her at least by call was somehow comforting. She didn't hesitate to make a mental note to visit her as soon as possible.
