I stare at him in complete confusion.

"How are you here? Why aren't you glitching?"

None of this makes sense. Can he just travel to any universe? Why is he even here?

His mask evaporates into pixels from around his face. What a weird costume....

"I've been watching you for a while now..."

My frown turns from confusion to disgust, "Okay, creep, I don't need anyone watching me. If you're a stalker then let's just get this over with," I retort back before suddenly shooting a Web at his face, pulling him down and jumping on his back as he got dragged forward towards the ground. I feel him starting to stand up with me on his back, so I shoot a Web from each wrist onto the ground, standing up as I push him down beneath my feet.

"We don't have to fight," he muttered out through clenched teeth.

"You don't have to watch me, stalker."

I flip forward off of his back after securing him to the ground.

"What do you want? Why are you here?" I interrogate him, every cell of my body already hating him.

"I am a part of a secret spider-society," he began, suddenly getting up off the ground with ease, causing me to step back in shock, "you really need stronger webs." He spoke again before clearing his throat to continue his first point.

"This spider-society is full of people just like you and me. Everyone there has the same powers and the same cannon event. More or less."

"Woah woah wait, what's a Canon event?"

He sighs deeply through his nose, massaging his temples before continuing, "a Canon event is when a spider-persons close friend, relative, or companion in a way is taken away from them with death. Like your sister. Or, like perhaps Peter Parkers uncle, his story is one of the most common canons. A canon is, most of the time, what leads a person to do what they do and be who they are. It adds character in a way. Whatever it is, it always needs to happen. It's like destiny, and when you interferre with destiny, there are huge consequences."

I stare at him, my eyebrows knitted together.

"Anyway, we've seen you fight -"

"We? Who's we?"

"People of the spider-society. We want you on our team, in our spider-society."

I stare at him, my brain trying to make sense of all of this. What the fuck is a Canon event? Why did he make a spider-society?

"Why did you make a spider-soceity?"

"You can learn more about that when or if you get there."

Silence falls on us for a few minutes.

"How did you get here? How aren't you glitching?"

"This watch." He moves his wrist up, motioning to the watch that adorned it with his other hand.

"Looks like a fit-bit....." I scoff.

"This 'fit-bit' can take me to any universe I ask it to, as well as countless other things. It also allows me to stay completely unscathed during my visitations to other universes."

My heart skips a beat.

"So as long as you're wearing that watch, you can go anywhere and stay there for like.. forever..?"

"Technically, yes, I suppose."

My jaw becomes ajar as I turn away from him to gather my thoughts.

Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes.

Was the only thing I could think of.

"I understand if you don't want to, but you could be a valuable member that -"

"YES." I spin around, realising how excited I sounded, I quickly deepened my voice to sound more serious, "Sorry I mean yes."

"Great." He said although he didn't sound too pleased. To be fair he was speaking in monotone the entire time.

"Take this watch you'll need it." He throws a watch at me from inside his pocket.

"Could I make this...pink...?" I ask hesitantly. The only thought running through my mind was the fact that this watch on my wrist could take me back to see Miles. I can't really remember how long it's been since I've last seen him, it feels like years.

"You can get to that later," he muttered before beginning to tap on his watch suddenly opening a portal behind him.

"Woah," I can't help but breathe out, quickly clasping the watch to my wrist as he turned to walk through.

Irann up towards the portal before turning around to look around the empty bank. I am not gonna miss this place.

With that, I step through the portal, silently praying that I don't land in another dumpster.
