"So what even happened?" Miles asked quietly, holding me close to him. The atmosphere in his room had settled after a while of me trying to calm down some more. I was positioned on his lap, my head on his chest as he held me in his arms.

I look up at him, noticing his concerned expression that soon turned to cockiness as he realised just how long I'd been staring at him for. He tilted his head a little, his doughey eyes creasing as he smirked down at me. I roll my eyes at him before clearing my throat, trying to subtly rid my body of butterflies before speaking to him.

"Miguel, have you heard of him?" I begin, looking at him seriously.

"Gwen told me about him. I'm pretty sure he's a ninja-vampire, right? He's like the boss or whatever," He shrugged.

I laugh a bit, the tension in my chest loosening a little bit more as he smiled at me, happy to hear my laughter.

"Well sort of..." I mumble out, watching his eyes try to subtely trace over my lips.

"What did he do? I'm not sure if I'm really experienced enough to fight some ninja-vampire but I'll try if he did something." Miles says nonchalantly, stretching his fingures out in front of him as a subtle way of trying to flex his strength. "Bet I could take him in a fight no problem, do you remember Liam? I owned that guy!"

I scoff a little at him as he pretended to look offended.
"Yeah well Liam was just another teenage boy, Miguel is HUGE!"

"Like how huge?"

"'There's no way you would be able to beat him in a fight' type of huge," I answer back honestly, earning an annoyed groan out of Miles.

He obviously has no idea how bad Miguel is.

Miles squints at me with a pout, "I bet I could still beat him."

I give him a signature 'shut up' look before continuing.

"Okay well anyway he got mad at me because I came over here, to your universe, without asking him first and that's bad because I could have ruined your cannon event."

"Whats a cannon event?"

"It's like when something traumatic happens to you..I think..."

"Oh? Well my uncle died. I thought-"

"Yeah, I thought that too, I'm not sure...."

"Y/n, is something gonna happen to me?"

I swallow, "I don't know."

Silence falls on the room as Miles suddenly shrugs, "eh how bad could it be?"

I grimace, getting sudden flashbacks of my sisters lifeless body flopped stiffly over my bed.

"Yeah......" I mutter out, avoiding Miles' gaze.

I feel his hands creep slowly onto my waist as he takes a hand away to reach up my back. Shivers run down my spine as I snap my head up to look up at him, narrowing my eyes at him in suspicion.

He grins before suddenly pulling the hood of his hoodie over my head, covering my eyes in the process.

I let out a surprised yell as he laughs at me, the warmth of his hands cupping my face.

"You can keep that hoodie, it got too small for me anyway."

I pull back the hood from over my eyes to meet his vacant expression, a smile beginning to twitch on my lips as we stare at each other.

Its like whenever I'm with him, all I feel is love. There's never any judgement. There's only ever support, empathy and affection. It's something I never really thought I'd receive and now that I get it from him, I don't think I could ever let him go.
