Mabels POV

After a long day of classes, I find myself back in the solitude of my dorm room. The dim light casts a cozy glow, and the rhythmic tapping of rain against my window creates a soothing ambiance.

Just as I settle onto my bed, my phone buzzes with a message notification. It's from Kai.

U up Belly? Want to meet up at our spot, can't sleep.

A surge of anticipation mixed with a touch of nervousness courses through me. He was referring to the Clock Tower, as OUR spot.

I glance at my reflection in the mirror, contemplating my decision. The night is young, and the allure of exploring this connection further tugs at my heart. Yet, there is a twinge of hesitation, a reminder of the delicate balance I must maintain.

I respond quickly.

The clock tower sounds tempting. But let's also tread carefully, don't want any trouble again XD

Satisfied with my response, I hit send and slip my phone back into my pocket. Thoughts swirl in my mind as I slip on a cozy sweater and lace up my shoes. The rain outside has intensified, but there's an allure to its rhythmic patter against the pavement—a reminder that even amidst uncertainty, beauty can be found.

With a deep breath, I grab my keys and make my way out of the dorm. The rain envelops me, caressing my skin like delicate fingertips, as I venture toward the clock tower. Each step is deliberate, filled with a mix of excitement and trepidation.

As I climb the steps leading to our secret spot, I can't help but think about the experience with Kai last time on the Clock Tower. It has become a symbol of our connection, a place where time seems to stand still, and everything else fades away.

I reach the top, my heart pounding with a blend of nerves and anticipation. There, against the backdrop of the city's twinkling lights, stands Kai. Raindrops cling to his hair, adding an ethereal shimmer to his presence. He smiles, and in that moment, I can feel the weight of the world lift off my shoulders.

"Hey," he says, his voice a soft melody amidst the rain.

"Hey," I reply, my voice barely above a whisper. We stand there for a moment, raindrops cascading around us, as if the universe itself holds its breath, waiting for what unfolds between us.

I gingerly take a seat beside Kai, my eyes drawn to the breathtaking view before us. The city's twinkling lights create a mesmerizing tapestry, casting an enchanting glow over the world below. I can't help but feel a sense of wonder as I soak in the sight, a reminder of the vastness of possibilities that lie beyond our reach.

Kai's gaze shifts from the cityscape to me, and a soft smile graces his lips. "You know, Belly," he begins, his voice a soft murmur, "you're truly breathtaking."

A blush creeps up my cheeks, and I avert my gaze for a moment, trying to gather my thoughts. His words touch a chord deep within me, awakening a surge of emotions that I've been wrestling with for some time.

"I don't know what it is about you," he continues, his voice filled with sincerity, "but ever since that first day I saw you in the courtyard, I couldn't get you out of my mind."

His words wash over me like a gentle wave, and I find myself drawn to him, unable to resist the magnetic pull of his presence. With a flicker of hesitation, I turn my gaze back to him, our eyes locking once again.

In a jokingly tone I reply. "Hey, you're not so bad yourself" playfully nudging his shoulder.

Kai gently smiled and returned his gaze back to the view;.
