Chapter 11

  (Zara's POV)
  As the last few weeks been a little crazy, I've been dealing with all my classes exam's trying to pass them to keep my GPA a 4.0 so I can go to college. Gavin doesn't want me to go to LSU because its to far from the pack he wants me to go to Ole Miss which is only a few hours away from the pack. He had to talk to my parents and sweet talk them into talking to me about it.
 
  Flashback starts
 
  "Love, LSU is to far, I know its a great school and all but I want you to come home at night and be home on weekends. I'll even drive you there if I have too." Gavin told me.
  "Babe, I want to go to LSU. Its got great Business administration and management program." I told him.
  "So find that here at Ole Miss, Zara. I need you the pack needs you."
  "Gavin, no." I told him. "Now this is the end of our conversation about LSU." I said as I was working on some homework.
  "Fine," he said then got up. "It's getting late, I better get home before the storm hits tonight." He said as he kissed me on the lips.
 
  The next day school was canceled because of the storm had flooded the school so I had a four day weekend. While I was doing apps for colleges, my parents had came to me about college.
 
  "Hey honey, how's the search going?" My mother asked me.
  "Its great. I just put my LSU app in." I told her.
  "Speaking of college, I don't think LSU is the right school for you." My father had said as he leaned against the wall.
  "Did Gavin put you guys to this?" I had asked.
 
  They looked at each other than at me. My mother sat next to me on my bed and closed my laptop.
 
  "Gavin just wants best for you honey. We y'all do." My mother told me.
  "No, he just wants me close to him." I started to say.
  "And he should Zara." My father got loud making me look down. "He's your mate. He has to protect you at all cost. Your his Luna and you part of a pack that you have to protect as well." My father was saying starting to get angry with me.
  "Honey, your father has a point. Ole Miss is a great school as well. It may not have a high chance with what you want but they still have Business administration and management program. And it's closer to the packs. What if something happens and your at LSU you can't just up and leave and be here but at ole Miss you can be." My mother says. "Just think about it, Zara. We love you and will be with you with whatever you choose to go." My mother touched my leg before getting up from the bed.
  "We just wants what best for you and our packs." My father said before walking out my room.
 
  Flashback ends
 
  After that, I started wondering what I wanted. They all had a point. I was Gavin's mate and the packs Luna, I had to think about the packs. Because what is something had happened and I was at LSU, I couldn't just shift and get home as fast as I could. Ole Miss was only a few hours away and I would be home with my mate and family.
  As I was in the library at school, I had done my ole Miss app and essay about what I wanted in life and what I wanted to do with it. As I was almost done, I had thought about what I really wanted.
 
  "I am a strong independent woman that stands up for what she believes in. I believe that when something is wrong it needs to be right. I was raised to believe in that. If someone needs help, help them, even if they don't need help. I want to be with the most loving man and have a wonderful life with him even if things go wrong, least I know we can help each other out. I want to see myself in a few years with that man and have a family of my own where my parents can call their grandchildren little nicknames and spoil them with what they want. And as a business woman, I see that a lot of work needs to be done and I am to stand and make it right. Even if it kills me. But I just want what's best for life."
 
  As I sent that, I logged out and headed out towards the car. I was the only one left at the school. And of course I had drove to school, told everyone I had to stay after to finish paperwork and do other things.
  When I got to my car, I was about to open my door when I felt a weird presents close by. When I looked around, I saw no one was around. I even clicked into my wolf senses just to make sure but nothing. When I saw nothing, I got in the car and threw my bag in the pass side and started the car up. As I head home, listening to some music that was on in the background, when out of no where I was hit from the side of the car sending me flying off the road, flipping me who knows how many times.
  When I came to, I was upside down. I had busted my driver side window with my elbow to get out. And once I had got out, I was tackled into the car by a woman. When I looked to see who it was, she had a cut across her eye and lip. I elbowed her on the back and pushed her away from me. She went to tackle me again but I was faster than her and moved out of her way, and got behind her. I had put her in a choke hold and asked her a few questions.
 
  "Who sent you?" I had asked.
  "No one, you stole what is mine!" She growled.
  "Who did I steal?" I asked.
  "Gavin!" She yelled.
  "Gavin? How did I steal him from you? He's my mate."
  "He was supposed to been my boyfriend but he chosen your bitch ass." She said then stuck her foot on the car making herself do a flip.
 
  As I turned around she stuck something in my stomach. When I looked down I saw a dagger sticking out with blood coming out of me. I felt my eyes change color and grabbed her head and twisted it. I killed her right there. After she had fell from my hold, I started to feel weak. I was so weak, I couldn't call anyone through pack link. As I slid down against the car, I looked back into the driver side and saw my phone was on the roof and I had slowly leaned over and grabbed it. First thing I had did was called Gavin.
 
  (Gavin's POV)
  I was sitting in my office doing pack work when my beta had came in with a few folders. He laid them on the desk in front of me and sat down. I had stopped doing what I was doing to look at them.
 
  "What's these?" I had asked them.
  "Those would be the rogue rates. This past year its been a little crazy. It's like they don't know when to fight or how many times they do. I've counted so far 20 attacks this year. That's like 3 times more than normal. I think that's more than what your grandfather had went through in a year." Damon had said.
 
  I nodded and closed the folders. I got up and placed them in the file cabinet to keep them put up and safe. As I was doing that, my delta had came in and flopped on the couch with a ice tea in his hand.
 
  "So I was thinking, after training this weekend, we should do a whole guys trip for your graduation gift. Because we all know were not gonna be hanging out much once Luna come and moves in." He had said.
  "Stefan that's not true. You guys are my best friends." I had told him when I closed the cabinet.
  "Damon tell him that."
  "Stefan, we all have a responsibility to do. Gavin's the alpha and Zara is the Luna. And I'm the beta that does most of the paperwork around here while you train some of our warriors." Damon had said.
  "And once you get to know Zara, you'll like her." I had said. "And speaking of training, ain't you supposed to be training right now."
  "Shit, I forgot I had schedule a training course today." Stefan said as he went to get up.
 
  As he was about to walk out the room my cell phone was ringing.
 
  "Speaking of the devil herself." I had said. "Hey babe," I had answered.
  "Gavin, help." She had said then the line went dead.
  "Zara?!" I had yelled in the phone.
 
  Both Stefan and Damon looked at me. I looked at them for a second before I grabbed my keys.
 
  "What's wrong? What's going on, Gavin?" They both asked me.
 
  I ran down the stairs out to the garage to get in my car. They got in with me as I drove out of the garage.
 
  "Where we going?" Stefan asked.
  "To the school. Zara stayed after for paperwork. Something must have happened. She sounded scared on the phone when she said help."
  "Help?" Damon said.
  "Wait why did she stay after school by herself?" Stefan asked.
  "I don't know. I left before her friends had left. I had to come home early remember."
 
  When I said that the boys nodded and as I got close to the school, I had saw a car wreck. I slammed on the breaks when I saw it was Zara's car was flipped over in the field.
 
  "No!" I growled.
  "Who's car is that?" Damon asked.
  "Zara's." I growled again as I got out of the car.
 
  As I got out I ran over to where Zara's car was. When I got to the car in the street, I saw a girl laying in the street. When I turned her over, I saw it was Carly. One of the girls I was seeing before I met Zara. I touched her neck and she was dead. The boys came over to me and saw her as well.
 
  "Wait wasn't that Carly, the one chick you was seeing before Zara?" Stefan asked.
 
  I nodded then walked around the car and saw Zara leaning against her car. I took off in a run to get to her. She had a dagger in her stomach.
 
  "Zara?!" I yelled.
 
  As I bent down in front of her. I pulled out the dagger and took off my shirt and held it on the womb to stop the bleeding.
 
  "Oh my god, what the hell happened?" Damon asked.
  "I don't know, she's barely breathing." I had said. "Call the pack 911." I yelled at them.
 
  One of them did what I had asked. As I held Zara in my arms. About a few minutes, Stefan came over to us.
 
  "I called them they are on their way." He told me.
  I nodded. "Do me another favor," I said as I grabbed her phone. "Call her parents." I said as I went to find her mothers number and handed it down him.
 
  Stefan took the phone and called Zara's parents. After a few minutes passed, Stefan handed me the phone back. He had a scared look on his face, which I knew what it was. Her mother must had said something to scare him and as Luna, she was beyond pissed now. I mean Olivia was a scary Luna and I see where Zara gets it from.
 
  About 5-10 minutes later, EMTs and cops had showed up. An EMT had ran over to me and put a mask on her face. After a few minutes later, I had saw Luna Olivia and alpha Castiel running over. The cops had stopped them from coming over to us.
 
  "Excuse me do you know who we are?" Olivia had yelled. "Luna Olivia and alpha Castiel that is our daughter there." She had growled.
 
  The cop had let them go when Olivia had growled. One thing not to do is piss off a Luna when it came to her child. As they got to me, they were putting Zara on a stretcher and loading her up.
 
  "What the hell happened?" Alpha Castiel had growled.
  I looked at them for a moment then back towards Zara. "I don't know, alpha. She called me for help then the line went dead." I had said.
 
  Then turned around and looked at the mess. I was wondering myself what had gone wrong here. And to me it don't look like it was an accident, it looked like it was on purpose.
  Damon and Stefan was talking to the cops handling the situation for me while I was taking care of Zara.
 
  "Alpha Gavin?" One of the EMTs called.
  "Yes," I answered.
  "Are you or the Luna or alpha gonna ride with her?" He has asked.
 
  I looked at the Luna and alpha and the nodded.
 
  "I am." I said. "Damon!" I called him.
 
  He looked at me then I threw him my keys. He caught them and nodded.
 
  "Well meet you there, Gavin." Olivia told me.
 
  I nodded and got into the EMT and held Zara's hand.
