Gunshots echo throughout the abandoned area, shattering the window and startling Constance, she glares at Dean and vanishes, then reappears, and Dean keeps firing until she disappears again.Sam manages to sit up, in pain from Constance digging into his chest, and starts the car, "I'm taking you home." Sam drives forward smashing into the front of the old house as Dean and Jamie stare after the car.
Dean and Jamie hurry through the wreckage to the passenger side of the car, "Sam! Sam! You okay?" Jamie asks.
"I think..." Sam answers.
"Can you move?" Dean adds, glancing over Sam and his car.
"Yeah. Help me?" Sam reaches his hand out to Dean and Jamie.
Dean leans through the window to help Sam out of the car.
The siblings turn around and see Constance; she looks up at them from the picture frame she held of her and her children when they were alive.
She glares at them and throws the picture down. Constance makes a large drawer slide forward, pinning them against the car.
Before Constance can do anything, the lights flicker and water pours down the staircase. She goes over. At the top, Constance's dead children hold hands, "You've come home to us, Mommy." They speak in unison.
"Nah, that's creepy as hell." Jamie whispers, staring at the scene.
Constance looks at her children, distraught, and suddenly they are behind her, embracing her tightly and she screams in agony, fluttering as she disappears into a puddle on the floor with the children.
Sam, Dean, and Jamie shove the drawer off of them and go look at the spot where Constance and her children vanished.
"So this is where she drowned her kids." Dean says.
Sam nods, "That's why she could never go home. She was too scared to face them."
"I would be too scared to face them too. I hate children." Jamie comments.
"You are a child."
"What? No, I'm not, shut up." Jamie pouts and crosses his arms.
"Anyway, you found her weak spot. Nice work, Sammy." Dean hits Sam on the chest where he's been injured and walks to his car.
Sam laughs through the pain, "Yeah, I wish I could say the same for you. What were you thinking shooting Casper in the face, you freak?"
"Hey, Saved your ass." Dean points at Sam. He looks over his car, "I'll tell you another thing. If you screwed up my car? I'll kill you."
"Dude, you're the one who decided to shoot your windows save him." Jamie mumbles.
The Impala tears down the road, Dean at the driver's seat, Sam has John's journal open to the coordinates and a map open on his lap, trying to find where the coordinates lead with a ruler, a flashlight tucked between chin and shoulder. Jamie sits in the backseat, leaning over Sam's shoulder, watching him try to find where their dad went.
"Okay, here's where Dad went." Sam states, pointing at a spot on the map.
"Blackwater Ridge, Colorado." Jamie reads.
Dean nods, "Sounds charming. How far?"
"About six hundred miles." Sam answers.
"If we shag ass, we could make it by morning."
"Dean, I, uh..." Sam starts.
Jamie and Dean look at Sam as he hesitates, apologetic.
"You're not going." Dean states, looking at the road and back at Sam.
"The interview's in like, ten hours, I gotta be there."
Dean nods, disappointed, and returns his attention to the road.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever. I'll take you home."
The Impala stops in front of Sam's apartment building, Sam gets out and leans over to look through the window as Jamie climbs into the front seat.
"Call me when you two find him?" Sam asks.
"Yeah." Jamie affirms as Dean nods.
"And maybe I can meet up with you guys later, huh?"
"Yeah, all right." Dean replies and Jamie nods this time.
Jamie knows that Sam won't have the time to meet up with them when he goes to law school, it was just another empty promise, but Jamie's still rooting for Sam.
Sam pats the car door twice and turns to walk away. "Sam?" Dean calls, Sam turns back, "You know, we made a hell of a team back there."
"Yeah." Sam agrees.
Jamie looks down at his hands and fidgets, not wanting to say goodbye again.
Dean drives off but doesn't get far before Jamie speaks up, "Stop, stop the car."
"What?" Dean slows the car to a stop.
"Just a bad feeling, can we go back?" Jamie has a bitter taste in his mouth and a feeling in his gut, signals going off in his brain telling him they need to help Sam.
Dean pulls over in front of the apartment building and takes the keys out the car, "Stay here." Dean orders when Jamie gets out of the car, he walks into the building while Jamie's pacing around the car, trying to ease his nerves.
Suddenly, flames burst from inside the apartment building. Jamie runs toward the building, skipping a step at a time.
Inside, he gets to the top of the stairs that lead to Sam's apartment and sees Dean practically drag Sam out of the apartment.
Jamie stares at the spreading fire as if time stops, he can barely make out the dark figure that eerily waves at him before it disappears in the inferno.
He snaps out of his daze when Dean pulls on his arm, "Go!" Dean yells, trying to get both of his brothers out of the burning building.
A fire truck is parked outside the building, firemen and police keep back onlookers and residents of the building. Dean and Jamie look at the scene, then turn and walk back to the car.
Sam is standing in front of the open trunk, loading a shotgun. Jamie looks between both Dean and Sam. Dean looks at the trunk, then at Sam, whose face is set in a mask of desperate anger. Sam looks up, sighs, then tosses the shotgun into the trunk.
"We got work to do." Sam shuts the trunk.
