The pair didn't try to break the bed the next morning, they were going to, but Hazel was too busy rearranging her return flight since she had missed it the previous day while she was in the cage. Luckily, she was able to get on the same one as Karano, and after a good breakfast they headed to the airport.
Breakfast was something that they were both adjusting to. With Hazel recently having the werewolf aspect to her body, she was craving more food, especially meat, while Karano was craving more blood, having recently gotten the vampire abilities. They were both now more alive than a vampire and yet not as much as a werewolf, but more powerful than either. Luckily, they could subsist on almost anything, as long as they could control their cravings.
Which was a good thing for the people on the plane when they flew home!
Karano had texted Wesley from the airport, so the pack wasn't panicking, and when they arrived back home, they were met by a very excited Eliza who was sitting on the front step of their cabin. "Karano! Hazel!" she jumped up quickly and raced over to them, trying to hug them both at the same time. "You're back!"
The pair moved closer, and pulled her into a big group hug, both of them having missed the little girl. "Did you behave while I was gone?" Hazel asked with raised eyebrows.
"I did! I helped Karano! I was good!" Eliza assured her. "Mom said I can help whenever you two need me to!"
"Did you go out on the boat with Wesley too?" Karano asked.
Her face fell. "Yeah, but it wasn't as fun. He didn't laugh with me like you did."
Karano glanced at Hazel, seeing the grin on her face. "Well, we'll have to see what the schedule looks like, but I bet we could both take you if you liked."
"Yeah! Yes please!" Eliza was bouncing up and down now, before she stopped suddenly and looked up at them guiltily. "Oh, and my mom wanted me to tell you that she was hoping she could see you when you got back. She wanted to ask a favor."
"Of course," Hazel replied. "Let us get cleaned up, and we'll come over in a few minutes, okay?"
"Okay! Thanks!" the girl skipped off towards her cabin, and the older pair walked hand in hand towards their own.
"Do you think we could have one of our own?" Hazel asked.
"I don't see why not," Karano told her. "We have a stable relationship, no more assholes that can mess it up, and plenty of time to try baby making. How would you want to do it?"
"Well, we could adopt if we found someone as adorable as Eliza, or I could carry a baby if we found a donor, or we could find a surrogate to carry with one of our eggs."
"That sounds like a lot of money," Karano said with a sigh as they walked into their cabin.
Hazel pressed her body into Karano's, feeling arms wrapped around her. "We'll find a way. And we have time, so there isn't a rush. We can start saving and look at options."
"Ok, mami," Karano nuzzled her lips against Hazel's neck. "You're going to make a wonderful mom, I can tell."
"As will you. We could have little versions of us running around the house. That would be adorable to see a mini you!" Hazel giggled into Karano's shoulder at the thought. "I bet she'd be the cutest thing ever."
"A mini you would be even better though. So sweet and cuddly. She would have the entire pack wrapped around her finger." Karano smiled at the thought of a tiny version of Hazel and knew that she'd spoil the hell out of her.
When they visited Maria's cottage, Eliza was bouncing around in excitement, and even Jack smiled and waved, which was big progress for the shy boy. "Thanks for coming over," Maria said quickly. "I was hoping that maybe you could do me a favor for a week."
