Chapter Ten - The Heatwave

       Klaus was in the study in the Mikaelson mansion in Mystic Falls painting when Caroline walked in the study towards Klaus "tomorrow there is supposed to be a heatwave" said Caroline as she was admiring the painting Klaus was working on "I hope we can spend tomorrow together then" said Klaus as he put down his paintbrush "we can spend everyday together as me, you are both happily married to each other for the rest of our lives, I love you" said Caroline as Klaus looked at her "I love you more everyday Caroline" said Klaus as he kissed her  "I am so happy me and you are married to each other for the rest of our lives" said Caroline as she took her lips of Klaus's "I am too love" said Klaus as they kissed again.   Meanwhile Hayley was in New Orleans with Tyler "how much further are we going to go before you find us a place to stay?" asked Hayley curiously as Tyler turned around to face her "we are going a lot further" said Tyler in an angry voice "you do know if Klaus finds out I am here in New Orleans with you he will kill you" said Hayley as she crossed her arms "why would he kill me?" asked Tyler curiously "because you threatened to kill Caroline's mum once and I made a deal to go with you wherever you go to stop you from killing Caroline's mum" said Hayley as Tyler grabbed her arm "if you even think about calling Klaus or Caroline or his siblings I will make sure you don't see the light of day for 2 weeks" said Tyler as Hayley nodded.

    Later that night back in Mystic Falls at the Mikaelson mansion Caroline was in her's, Klaus's bedroom sitting on the bed writing in her diary when Rebekah walked in "I was wondering if I should invite Elena, Stefan over tomorrow for the afternoon?" asked Rebekah with a smile "that would be lovely Rebekah but you might need to ask Klaus as well" said Caroline as Rebekah sat down on the chair in the corner "ask me what sweetheart?" asked Klaus as he walked in the bedroom with his arms crossed "well Rebekah was thinking of inviting Elena and Stefan over tomorrow" said Caroline as Klaus turned to look at Rebekah "what a great idea sister" said Klaus as he sat on the bed next to Caroline who was putting her diary away in her bedside table draw.         The next morning in Mystic Falls at 9:30 am Elena woke up, reached for her phone only to find Hayley had sent her a message (please only tell Klaus, Caroline I am well but I can't come home, I am not safe as I am with Tyler in New Orleans, I made a deal with Tyler to go with him everywhere he goes so he won't come back and kill Caroline's mum) "you look sad Elena" said Stefan as he walked in "I had a bad dream that I almost died and you couldn't save me" said Elena as she put her phone down "don't worry I am not going to let you die oh before I forget we are going to the Mikaelson's mansion for the afternoon" said Stefan as he left Elena's room.

    5 hrs later Elena, Stefan arrived at the Mikaelson mansion when Carolined opened the door wearing a bright yellow sun dress what had white spots "it's so lovely to see you both" said Caroline as she smiled when Klaus suddenly appeared next to her "were all sitting outside in the shade in the back garden" said Klaus as he and Caroline walked out to the back garden together holding hands followed by the other two "Stefan I wonder if I could speak to Klaus and Caroline alone for a moment" said Elena as Klaus and Caroline stopped walking "sure I will see you outside in the back garden in a minute" said Stefan as he walked over to where Rebekah was sitting with Elijah.   "Let's talk in your study" said Elena as she walked towards Klaus's study "what's all this about why did you need to speak to us alone Elena?" asked Caroline curiously "well I got a text from Hayley saying she is in danger in New Orleans but she can't come home as if she does Tyler will come and will kill your mum Caroline" said Elena "she is with Tyler?" asked Klaus as Caroline started to cry on his shoulder "yes she is" said Elena as Klaus put his arm around Caroline "I don't want to lose my mum but I do want Hayley to be safe" said Caroline as she continued to cry on Klaus's shoulder. "I will think of a plan while you go back outside, enjoy your afternoon here, as soon as I have come up with a plan I will text you it" said Klaus as he kissed the top of Caroline's head "good as Hayley can't have you texting her as Tyler won't let her see daylight for 2 weeks and I would presume he will kill her if he knew that I spoke to you" said Elena as she walked out to the back garden.

    Meanwhile in New Orleans "I think you have been hiding something from me Hayley" said Tyler in an upset voice "I haven't done anything behind your back, I never have" said Hayley as she walked slowly away from Tyler "then why are you leaving me?" asked Tyler as he vampire speeded in front of Hayley "because I am going to get a drink and you're not coming with me" said Hayley as she pushed Tyler out of her way.      

   Meanwhile later that night back in Mystic Falls at the Mikaelson mansion "Caroline I have a plan to save Hayley but I need to know what you think before I text it to Elena" said Klaus as he walked towards Caroline, grabbed hold of both of her arms "my plan is Elena, Stefan, me and you go to New Orleans then Stefan distracts Tyler with Elena's help so then we both can rescue Hayley" said Klaus as he kissed Caroline "that is a good plan of yours but are you sure it will work?" asked Caroline as Klaus nodded "if it doesn't work then you will all be locked away while Tyler tries to kill me" said Klaus "I don't want to lose my husband as I love you more than you know" said Caroline as she gave Klaus a hug.    "Don't worry love I won't let Tyler kill me or lock you all up" said Klaus as he got out his phone from his jacket pocket to text Elena to tell her his plan 15 minutes later Klaus put his phone back in his jacket pocket "we are going to New orleans Caroline to stay with a friend of mine called Marcel Gerard in the french quarter at 1 of my other mansions I own, don't worry love Marcel has his own place on the other side of the river" said Klaus "why would I worry?" asked Caroline as she walked towards the kitchen "no reason I thought you would just worry about Marcel" said Klaus as he followed after Caroline "the only thing I would worry about is you as I want you as I love you" said Caroline as she got a glass out of the kitchen cupboard "I love you too Caroline" said Klaus as he opened up the fridge door for Caroline so she can get some ice cold water out of the plastic jug what is filled with water.
