Third person.
'What I have for Heeseung is only a small happy crush!'
'Heeseung is merely handsome and has a great style, so it's normal to find him attractive at times.' Or rather, all the time.
'Okay, no, maybe I do like him. But I'm not saying I'm in love with him! Or perhaps-'
'No, I don't, silly. Or do I?'
'Wait, holy shit, do I like him?'
Millions of thoughts run inside Aera's mind, all because of one particular person she's having a crisis on.
Back inside Heeseung's car and getting a drive home to getting on the lift and opening her dorm, Aera has finally concluded that the way she sees Heeseung is turning out to be greater than a close friend. She's been in denial throughout the past months of knowing him, but now, it's hitting her that this isn't just a so-called admiration.
Because of Aera's past experiences in life, she's learned by herself that the process of love is easy, but going through it isn't. It's better to love than be loved, was her past motto. If she had to thank someone for making her stop believing it, it would be Heeseung.
The mixed signals she always receives from Heeseung make her feel pathetic for speculating that the sweet gestures might hold a special implication. She knows too well that Heeseung is naturally a kind person to everyone, especially to his family and his friends, which includes her. It makes her wonder if she is at fault for catching feelings for a friend like him.
With this new view of how she thinks of Heeseung, it makes her go feral about what she should do about it. It makes her go insane because this isn't how it's supposed to go.
"What are you thinking about, Aera?" Jiwoo plops herself on Aera's bed, laying on her stomach with a low grunt.
"You don't want to know." Aera mutters.
"I surely do." Jiwoo smiles in mischief.
"She might be thinking about the finals coming up. I'm so stressed out already." Miyoung joins the conversation, faking a cry while on her desk applying a product she recently bought.
"She would be on her laptop, and notes would be all over if she were." Jiwoo snickers.
"I am gonna study later. You know how I manage stuff." Aera sulks at the thought of having to start putting on an all-nighter every night again.
"Where were you tonight? Jiwoo and I went out to get dinner and called you, but you didn't pick up." Miyoung tells her, which is true if you look at the shit tons of missed calls on her phone.
"I was with Heeseung. We played basketball." Aera absentmindedly smiles, staring at the ceiling as an image from an hour ago replays in her mind.
"Basketball? Don't you hate that sport?" Jiwoo asks, exchanging weird looks with Aera's older sister, who has the same question in mind.
"Yeah. It was fun, though." Aera replies.
"Because you were with him?" Miyoung attempts to expose her.
