I tore through my closet only picking the things I absolutely needed.

I had in my hiking bag, 2 T-shirts , 2 long sleeve shirts and a turtle neck. For pants I carried 2 shorts, 1 pair of jeans, 1 pair of sweatpants and a skirt. Then I moved on to underwear. Next after that I garbed 10 pairs of clean socks, and my runners. I had rain boots as well as flip flops. I had clothes and foot wear out of the way so I went onto toiletries. I grabbed deodorant, a fresh tube of toothpaste, a tooth brush, my makeup kit/ face wash kit , my hair bush, hair elastics and a small mirror. I also reached for my hoody and rain coat.

I had my stuff out of the way, now I needed some blankets/stuff animal my pillow and the tent. Once I had those I went downstairs to leave.

Before leaving the door mom handed me a small envelope and a worried look.

"Inside the envelope there is a credit card, some cash and a cell phone charger. The credit card information is on a piece of paper in the envelope." She gave me a hug and kiss knowing she couldn't stop me.

"Call me every night. And when you find B, come home." That's when mom starts to cry.

"I will." I promise stepping out the door.

Dad was no where in sight, so he was probably at work, not that I wanted to say bye any way.

I was half way down the drive way when mom comes running out.

"Wait! Wait!" She cried. "Take my car keys." She hands be a set of silver keys.

I smiled, her car was already hooked up to the trailer making it easy to bring B home.

I was 17 now, that means I was old enough to drive.

I pulled out of the drive way and started to drive. I drove and drove and drove until I got a call. I pulled over answering the call.

"Gretchen?" It said.

"Yea?" I replied.

"It's Lukas." He continued.

"Yea." I paused.

"Your running away?" He stiffened.

"No, I'm finding my horse, why?" I stutter.

"I want to come with you." He whispers.

"Then I'll pick you up." I whisper back.

"K, bye." He hangs up.

Yep that's Lukas. He was my best friend in grade 1 to 6 but then we got into middle school. He made new friends and I... Well lets just say I didn't. However, he still always said hi to me at lunch and was still my forever science partner.

I pull into his drive way, him chucking his pack into the trunk, then joining me in the front seats.

"Ready?" I asked.

"For sure." He replied to my comment.

"Then lets get Finding Berry."
