"Is it worth it?" I looked up at the sky watching as the clouds slowly moved along the endless black abyss. I looked down at the edge I stood on. My hands gripped the railing behind me keeping me in place "Will it matter?" I thought to myself, my grip loosened, and I leaned forward embracing the fall. As I fell towards the cold concrete below, I felt a sense of happiness finally being able to let go of this hell. It felt like an eternity I fell, the ground near me, I closed my eyes accepting the harsh embrace.
The sounds of birds chirping, rivers running, leaves blowing in the wind. A warmth covered me, and the feeling of the rushing wind no longer surrounded my body. My eyes opened and I saw the vast blue sky with clouds dotted about it, I began to move my hand, I felt the touch of grass stroke my palm and fingers as I lifted it. It blocked the rays of the sun that touched my face. I lay there taking everything in.
I moved my hand back to my waist and sat up. I saw countless trees far away; I was in an opening. I Stood but wobbled as I couldn't balance myself properly, my knees were weak, and my body was still shaking. I slowly began to make my way towards the lush forest surrounding me, I felt so helpless and clueless.
"Where am I?" I thought as I laid my side against a tree scraping my forearm and catching my breath. I began to wander forward hoping I would meet something. The longer I walked the heavier my steps were, as I was reaching my limit, I saw it. A cabin, it was small. I began to push myself to get closer to it "Will there be people?" My feet felt like tungsten, barely being able to walk I fell to the ground. I reached out a hand to the cabin, my vision beginning to blur, a ringing in my ear and everything fading. The last thing I heard was the creaks of a door opening.
A wooden ceiling greeted me as I opened my wary eyes, the sound of a ticking came from beside me I rolled my head over to see a small bedside table next to me on it was a clock. it was small and bronze coloured. It was different, as I began to look more closely, I could see a luminescent cyan line on the side of it. I grabbed the clock to look closer at it, the line indented into the clock. It glowed halfway with a cyan colour, the rest of the line being a dark grey colour. I placed the clock back and began to sit up, pushing the quilt off my body.
As I sat up my exhausted eyes wandered the room, The room was simple and small, to the right of the room was a door a bit taller than me. To the left where the bed was against was a window with its blind closed but still letting in a little light. As my body slowly adjusted to my surroundings, I could hear the faint sound of footsteps outside the door
I looked at my arm, it was bandaged. My body felt unusually good. I hadn't felt like this in a long time. As I wondered why the door opened slightly and a head peeked out from it. It had brown hair its eyes were a shell pink it also had a rosy complexion. As they looked at me I saw their eyes widen and the door opened fully.
